I think I have posted this explanation on about three threads now, and on this thread you are going to get to read it.

The number one issue in this election is national security. We are at war with a group of Islamic terrorists who want to destroy this nation and Western Civilization. Not one of the democrats (except possibly Lieberman) would prosecute the war on terror, and Lieberman isn't going to get the nomination.

To elect a democrat means we lose Cheney, Rice, and RUMNSFELD. It means we have the horrible Rat appointees in all cabinet positions, such as a Janet Reno type as Attorney General. It means that we will have a democrat for Secretary of State, and if you don't think Bill Clinton wants that job, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

I do not want another Ruth Bader Ginsberg appointed to the Supreme Court. I don't want a Sandy Berger type asNational Security Advisor. I don't want to see taxes raised, the UN kissed up to, and France appeased.

I want the military funded and not turned into a social experiment. I want my grandchildren to be able to worship at their Lutheran church and I don't want my granddaughters wearing burkhas!!

Spending and domestic policy can be reversed by future Coongressional action. Foreign policy and defense actions, on the other hand, are controlled exclusively by the executive branch, and a Rat in charge would risk the safety of this nation.

I support the President, I am proud to, and I think those who are threatening to go third party or stay home are supporting the Rats, willingly or not. It is a foolish and dangerous position.

Well put. Notwithstanding the obvious fact that W. is far more conservative than G.H.W., you still have folks willing to risk another 1992 because they worship at the alter of the perfect, ignoring the good and the possible. Do any of them really contend we as a country were better off with 8 years of the Clintons rather than a second Bush term?

You GO girl. I agree 100 percent. Turning into carrion birds on Bush isn't going to accomplish jack sh*t. The Dems are already going at it non-stop. Who ever agrees with someone else 100 percent?? Heck, I don't even agree with MYSELF 100 percent of the time. NO one is going to do EVERYTHING exactly the way EACH ONE of us wants him/her to do it. We all play armchair quarterbacks, we all are chock full of suggestions and opinions. But if we divide up against our president, and let the Dems have the remains, we WILL have a socialist/dictator wanna-be demoncrat in the White House, and you can kiss a whole lot of things you take for granted good bye. It's time to unite. The dems are like rabid dogs, and if we let them take over, we'll have no one to blame but ourselves.

Do date one of the few reasonable responses I've seen.

I disagree that anyone considering staying home or going third patry is supporting the rats. All we keep hearing about is how Bush will probably have a win as large as Reagan so in light of all these claims why is it considered sush heresy to disagree with certain policies and be vocal about it?

Exactly!

Which is why proposing an amnesty for illegals (yes, it *is* essentially an amnesty, and there's no point hashing through that anymore) is simply backwards.

How can our leader on one hand say he supports a strong defense against international terrorism but on the other hand weaken our own borders by condoning illegal entry into the country?

Just wanted to bump this excellent post. These sentiments come straight from my heart too.
