[history]
Last month, a Republican lawyer in Mississippi who previously lived here in Washington, infiltrated a Howard Dean for President "meet-up" in Jackson. He took charge of more than the meeting.
"I'm basically now head of Central Mississippians for Dean," J. Kevin Broughton tells Inside the Beltway. The handful of Dean supporters on hand included a political consultant who was state chairman of Al Gore's 1988 presidential campaign, a retired Army colonel, a local broadcaster and a pair of middle-aged women. Honest lawyer he is, and feeling a bit guilty, Mr. Broughton decided to come clean.

I love that grin of yours.Thanks. Uh, you are a girl, right? :-)
I really couldn't quit grinning. When I got to my truck, I had nine cell phone messages. My dad (he has XM radio) happened to be listening to Fox News while driving. He said he had to pull over he was laughing so hard.
Oh, and I did a radio interview with KLIF in Dallas this morning.
I think the shot clock is winding down on my 15 minutes of fame, but I'm having a hell of a time!

Gurn, your story is on, at least, one other thread on FR, but under a different title. I wish I could remember what that title is... I believe this is the link you were looking for...

I signed up for the Nader for Prez campaign, last month, I might give the turkey some money if he decides to run.

I might give the turkey some money if he decides to run. Go for it, the more the merrier. You think he could be convinced to run one more time? Geez, he must be pretty old by now.

From what I understand he is doing a Hitlery listening tour, if Comrade Dean looks like he is going down the toilet, I expect he will run, the unwashed from JP need someone to vote for.

Cool! I think Dean could bite the dust and, oddly enough, Kerry does seem to have taken off.
State side, JP keeps changing just like Southie stays the same. They kept voting for Kerry on a state level and, though they probably knew he wasn't Irish, they made him one. They can do that, you know, even without permission.

Southie is changing, all the yups moving in, JP will change for the same reason, though it is a much safer place since the lesbians moved in, Electric tells me it is the big dogs.
The Southie Rats vote Union and to preserve some influence on city politics, self preservation. At the State level the Republican Party is those that are not Irish, for the most part.
I would expect to see, in the future, a rump rat party in SE Mass and the cities, and a return to Pubby strong holds in the towns, if the Mitt strategy, as I understand it works.
