Nearest I can gather form the content of the chat, we're looking at West Coast.
Either a domestic flight in the western tier, or an inbound international off the Pac Coast.
I wish I had more data...

Would there be any merit in starting a new thread every 500 or 1,000 posts as in the old days?
Easily doable with cross links etc.

Am humbled and honored that you'd think so.
Thanks.

See posts 268 & 302. I believe it was a hoax.

Get your ham radio license. Five watts output from a radio and a simple antenna can provide reliable communications under most circumstances.

YES and I have prayed more deeply and earnestly for us and our Country than ever before. Going on way before I had the good fortune to find this thread.

Major bump to that. I'm going to look into this myself.

Ok, Calpernia. :) You got me; I am tired. ZZZZZZZZZZ Night all.
To: Quix
I don't know; I kinda like keeping everything all together, but I know as the thread got longer and longer, it did take awhile to refresh. What does everyone else think?
To: Donna Lee Nardo
Me too. Night all!

How strange can it get?

Have seen nothing yet. I leave much to those better able to ferret stuff out. I merely have Fox on in the background.
Some planes have web access at each first class seat. Not sure about business and coach.
There should be an FBI or HOMELAND SECURITY number or email to access and it's probably in the longer thread.
But an airliner has more or less constant monitoring at least by some sort of radar or transponder as I understand it. Officials should know virtually instantly if one got blown out of the sky.
Nevertheless, the wife's experience should be reported to Homeland Security, IMHO.

Did the person on the plane say what airline, flight #, where the plane was headed, etc.? Keep us posted.

I certainly believe that. But, sadly, feel stronger than just "possible" about this report.

I took into consideration that my grown children and grandchildren might try to get to us and neighbors may have no supplies at all. Not everyone thinks like FReepers.

Great summaries!

As fast as this thread moves I think every 500 or 1000 would be way to early. It's a hassle having to jump between two separate threads to check old posts/links, etc. If the mods let us, I say leave to say, 5,000 or more.
I sure am posting more tonight than I usually do. I must be feeling, well, "chatty".
