Figured, ever since the threat about "destorying one city" Las Vegas always comes to mind as the one that would be chosen.

A religion that requires persecution and forced conversion to sustain it is a religion of the devil. The Islamic and Christian/Jewish eschatological prophecies have some very .... interesting .... convergences.
I've said that my belief is that Islam is at its root a Christian heresy or apostasy. The early history of the religion appears to bear this out. Lots of things are an obvious corruption of earlier beliefs. The really interesting thing is that the prophecies dovetail in very odd ways .... the prophecies about the Mahdi for example appear to be corrupted versions of the prophecies in Daniel and the Revelation of St. John. But with a very odd difference - the Mahdi and Issa (the "Islamic Jesus") appear very similar to the Beast and the False Prophet mentioned by St. John.
Does this mean anything? Or does it have any application to current events? I don't know. The origin is almost certainly a corruption of the Jewish and early Christian writings with which Mohammud did have contact. It does seem likely however that the Adversary would use any such corruption for his own benefit when the time was right, if he hadn't inspired it in the first place.
But we know that he will not have the ultimate victory: St. John relates in Rev 12:12 "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

Lab, that's what I keep trying to tell myself. Monday. However, that killing field estimate of 100,000 keeps coming to mind, and that's just about what's there on Sunday, in that stadium.
