ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Unidentified military unit caught crossing U.S. Border by Chris Simcox Tombstone Tumbleweed

Well before dawn broke on a chilly Saturday morning volunteers of Civil Homeland Defense were in position atop ridges along the San Pedro River scouting for groups of people entering the country illegally. Through binoculars this reporter spotted two military type vehicles parked at an abandoned ranch just across the “Line”, the U.S. - Mexico border."

"Sheriff concerned about violence, plans volunteer patrol"
BY BILL HESS

Herald/Review

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "BISBEE - Sheriff Larry Dever said Thursday that illegal immigrants are becoming more brazen putting the lives of Cochise County residents in jeopardy.

An extreme example of how dangerous the border situation has become is a Thursday morning carjacking, during which a woman and her daughter were assaulted at their residence by three Mexican nationals who illegally entered the United States, Dever said.

"They (illegal immigrants) are more desperate and obviously they don't care about American citizens," he said.

Dever said some illegal immigrants are showing up at school bus stops, and his deputies are patrolling those in rural areas near the border to make sure nothing happens.

The sheriff said a group of volunteers is needed to work with the deputies to keep on eye on school bus stops.

His department is working to set up such a program."

Now what everyone was worried about is proably a true concern:

This:

Saturday, January 31, 2004

BEIJING — China's Health Ministry on Saturday announced a new confirmed case of SARS (search), but said the patient has already been discharged from a hospital.

The man is the fourth confirmed SARS case announced in China this season.

The man, identified as a 40-year-old doctor from Guangzhou, the capital of southern Guangdong (search) province, had been released "recently," the official Xinhua News Agency said, without specifying when.

And now the deadly avian, or chicken flu virus - the latest health crisis - has claimed its first victim in Thailand. The killer bug was initially discovered in Vietnam, and has already led to six deaths there, while there have been confirmed outbreaks in South Korea, Japan, Cambodia and Pakistan.

Experts are predicting a major world health crisis and point to last year's major health scare - Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (Sars) - which killed 800 people and hospitalised a further 8,000 after an outbreak in China spread throughout Asia and on to Europe and North America.

there might be all sorts of people with wrong thinking about, and there might be many who care nothing about their soul or what they do to others spirit, and faith, but

these little bugs are not people they are, they just are...

"Danger zone"

"Too often, trouble finds players day before big game"
By RICHARD JUSTICE
Copyright 2004 Houston Chronicle

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "The day before last year's Super Bowl, Oakland Raiders center Barret Robbins disappeared. He apparently had stopped taking his anti-depression medication and spent a drunken day in Tijuana.

Robbins was hospitalized while the Raiders hurriedly adjusted their offensive line and played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was on a Saturday in 1999 that Atlanta Falcons defensive back Eugene Robinson was arrested for soliciting a prostitute.

And it was on a Saturday that Cincinnati Bengals fullback Stanley Wilson was found in his hotel room in a cocaine-induced stupor.

Perhaps it's no coincidence the Raiders, Falcons and Bengals lost the following day.

The Raiders and Falcons were blown out. The Bengals were beaten on a last-second drive engineered by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana."

"Miami suit seeks $20M from Palestinians for terrorist acts"
Haaretz ^ | Associated Press | Associated Press

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "MIAMI - A U.S. citizen injured in a terrorist attack in Israel and the estate of an Israeli lawyer killed by the same attacker have filed a lawsuit in federal court in Miami, seeking more than $20 million from Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat, five Palestinian groups and other individuals.

The suit by Moshe Saperstein and the estate of Ahuva Amergi accuses Arafat, the Palestinian Authority, the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Palestinian Preventive Services and Yaser Mahmud Alkativ, a commander in the Palestinian General Intelligence Services, with organizing, facilitating and sponsoring attacks against Jewish civilians in Israel and regions of the West Bank.

The suit, filed late Thursday, alleges Alkativ was working for the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade when he recruited Muhamad Al Katzir to join the group and attack Israelis."

"Radical Muslims Spark Fear in Iraqi Christians"

By George Thomas
CBN News Sr. Reporter

"Since the end of the first Gulf War, the Christian population of Iraq has dropped from nearly two million to about 800,000."

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "CBN.com – BAGHDAD -- The capture of Saddam Hussein has lifted a cloud that has been hanging over everyone in Iraq. But for some groups in Iraq, including Christians, life is becoming harder. The concern exists that the political and constitutional future of Iraq could threaten the survival of the Christians there.

The past several months have been dangerous for Christians in Iraq. A key Christian judge was killed in Mosul, bombs were found at two Christian schools, and many Christian students and families received notes to convert to Islam, or else.

Ismail Youssef, a prominent Christian judge, was assassinated outside his home in the northern city of Mosul, on November 4th. Several days later, authorities defused a cluster of bombs found at two Christian schools, one in Mosul and another in Baghdad.

Barnabus Fund, a group that tracks Christian persecution around the world, says the students also got notices to become Muslims or face death.

Then, in late November, many Christian families across Iraq received a threatening letter from the country's main Shia group. It warned Christians that if they didn't convert to Islam, they would be raped, kidnapped, tortured or killed."

Bump and thank you for the FYI and prayer!

O God, I pray that You would intervene that nothing comes of any such plans. Let those airlines under scrutiny cooperate to the fullest ... let no one be lax in their vigilance or their responsibility ... bring to light those who would plan and those who would execute such devastation.

Amen!

It took 12 hours for this news to fully come out!
