Yes of course - war always has multiple layers of deception going on.

Read about the fake attack on Dieppe in WWII - even after the troops had landed we still had Hitler convinced that Normandy was just a feint and that Gen. Patton would lead the bulk of the Allied invasion of France ashore at Dieppe. Needless to say that never happened - it was all a fake army and fake landing craft, etc. From what I've heard Patton was less than pleased with being used as as decoy while Ike got the good part. :-)

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON — New intelligence indicates that British Airways(search) flights to Washington and Air France (search) flights to Los Angeles could be terrorist targets, U.S. officials said Friday.

The flights are the same as those that drew increased attention when the nation's terror alert raised to orange, or high, just before Christmas. Two officials who spoke on condition of anonymity stressed there is no specific information about what might be planned, only that those flights are possible targets.

All these people wish it was a Clancy novel too. None of the children that lost their dads and moms that day think it was entertaining.

Know what was the worse? None of us thought of warning the children about saying goodbye to remains at memorials. So when our cousins asked how daddy fit in the little box....Well, take that as a spin off for entertainment.

Know what is even more entertaining? Some of the cell members that helped with 9/11 are still here. They also helped with WTC'93. I find it very entertaining.
