SACRAMENTO - The state's largest teachers union today endorsed Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's effort to pass a $15 billion bond in March, boosting his effort to woo skeptical voters.

The 800-member California Teachers Association's State Council of Education gave its backing to the bond, Proposition 57, and a companion measure, Proposition 58, to limit state spending.

Another reason to vote NO

That’s pretty much the first thing I thought too. Whenever I read the proposals they want us to vote on my rule of thumb is that if it costs me any money, or allows the state to borrow more money, the answer is “no” - primarily because they both end up costing me more money at some point.

I'm shocked....The Teacher's union is for a bond issue!

Of course they are --- they wish to continue sucking at the fat cow's teat...

Vote AGAINST any new bonds, tax increases or new/increased fees until the State CUTS EXPENDITURES...at least 20% - INCLUDING EDUCATION.

It might be a good idea to start denying tax payer provided services to ILLEGAL ALLIENS.

For Starters, they can freeze all hiring, all raises, all travel, all capital expenditures, all construction -- until the budget is balanced and there are TAX CUTS in place..

That is the way a Private Company would deal with the financial problems facing our State....
Civil Servants should NOT be immune to the laws of economics...

If that pisses them off, F'em.. They can go elsewhere.
