Buwahahahahah! Remember when the Raiders blamed their crappy record on the coach? Hey, Genius, stop whining and start making some plays

This isn't like the Sean Payton "hiring" is it? BTW, I thought they'd hold out and hire the Patriot's Def. coordinator.

A good OC, but not a good HC.

Feel sorry for all you Raider fans out there - Norv will not be the answer.

From a Redskins fan:

Have fun with Norv. He's a sincerely good guy and works damn hard, but get ready for all sorts of flat, lifeless "Well, we just didn't execute...the guys gave their best....we'll have to take a look and make some adjustments....blah blah blah monotone monotone monotone..." post-loss press conferences. I suspect Davis likes this guy because he's not very confrontational. I almost shudder for him a little bit, walking into that situation in Oakland.

Just so I don't get mistaken for a Raider fan:

Way to go for greatness, Crazy Al.  The Previous 7 years with Washington were all a fluke.  Norv's vanilla coaching will surely catapult your aging team back to dominance.

When Bill Belichick came to the Pats people were saying the same about him.

In over 40 years of watching Raiders football and only cheering for them when they play teams I hate more, I have leaned to hedge my bets against Al Davis making stupid moves.

As my Daddy used to say, "His Mama killed all the dumb ones."

Good news for Patriots fans. Now that all the head coach vacancies have been filled, Belichick gets to keep his coaching team intact for another year (and gets another year to groom successors for them).
