**CPAC 2004 Wrap up: post your reports and pictures HERE!**

Post your CPAC reports and pictures HERE!

CPAC this year was fantastic! This year there we had between 60 and 70 Freepers there, and those were just the ones I was able to count.

What was new for this year, was that there was an FR booth; our Canadian Operatives, FREE DOMINION had a booth; the DC chapter had a booth, and the new media operation Rightalk with carries Radio Free Republic had a booth, in addition to broadcasting the whole convention and interviewing top notch conservatives pundits and figures.

The FR booth was filled with pictures from the Rally For America we coordinated earlier in 2003 and also displayed some of Registered's finest work. It is always a tremendous draw for CPAC attendees.

Many kudos go out to our magnificent friends at Free Dominion who are spreading the conservative word up north by organizing their own CPAC.

More kudos go out to Libertina and Firebrand for holding down the FR fort by managing the booth! You guys were fabulous!

I think we have a larger and larger contingent of Freepers at CPAC. One of the best parts of the attending the conference is meeting freepers I "see" on line for the first time. (After I apologized for flaming them, we always hit it off!) I encourage everyone to try and make the trip next year.

Repeating my "CPAC Report" from this thread: LIVE FROM CPAC!...

It was so nice to see (or meet for the first time) so many FReeper FRiends at CPAC 2004! :-)

We had a great time at CPAC, and did our best to recruit new FReepers everywhere we were, whether attending one of the sessions, at the CPAC banquets, in the Marriott bar, etc. We even (hopefully) recruited a new FReeper from Kansas on Sunday while stopping for a couple of hours at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum on our way home. We just want every conservative we meet to have as much fun on FR as we've been having over the past three or so years, I guess... lol

Highlights of our trip to CPAC (besides the #1 highlight... spending time with fellow FReepers!):

Having a front-row seat (just by dumb luck) for speeches by: Vice President Cheney, Ann Coulter and Ollie North. Hearing wonderful speeches by: Dr. Alan Keyes, Sen. Bill Frist, Sen. Zell Miller, Sen. Mitch McConnell, Sen. George Allen, RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, David Horowitz, Michelle Malkin, Phyllis Schlafly, Wayne LaPierre and former Congressman Bob Barr, among many other speakers.

Of the many debates we attended, probably the most contentious was the Immigration debate: Immigration Reform: Recognizing Reality or Surrendering Principles? On the panel were Daniel Griswold of the Cato Institute, Michelle Malkin and Phyllis Schalfly. The Moderator was John Fund of The Wall Street Journal. If the debates weren't so carefully timed, I have a feeling that this one could've gone on for hours and hours!

Here's hoping we'll make it to CPAC 2005!

Were you all at the sports bar at the big table? I'm in one of the pictures at the end of the table drinking a Guinness.

Thank you for that link and reminder, tioga! I will check it out for sure. I could definitely stand to expand my vocabulary!

There are so many Forums and threads on FR, I have to admit I forget and/or lose track of many of them at times. I may or may not post on the Word for the Day thread, but you can be sure I'll be lurking there! Thanks again. :-)

Yes, we were there! Were you the young guy next the the new FReeper (marinamuffy?) and Warrior Nurse?

Good grief, next time we'd better do one of those "let's go around the table and introduce ourselves..." (or "my name is so-and-so and I'm a FReepaholic...")

Thanks, NYC GOP Chick. Is that Dan in the tan sweater? Nice looking young man! I can't believe we didn't actually meet him. I didn't meet the young woman with the lilac blouse either. I'm assuming the girl on the left is marinamuffy.

Note to self for next year: Bring name tags and Sharpie markers for after-CPAC gathering!

Somehow we missed both of you at CPAC this year.

I think I was moving too fast to be seen. Sorry we didn't get to spend time together this year.

Hey CD--Was great to see you again! I was home by 5:30 Saturday. Did you arrive before then?
