Post your CPAC reports and pictures HERE!
CPAC this year was fantastic! This year there we had between 60 and 70 Freepers there, and those were just the ones I was able to count.
What was new for this year, was that there was an FR booth; our Canadian Operatives, FREE DOMINION had a booth; the DC chapter had a booth, and the new media operation Rightalk with carries Radio Free Republic had a booth, in addition to broadcasting the whole convention and interviewing top notch conservatives pundits and figures.
The FR booth was filled with pictures from the Rally For America we coordinated earlier in 2003 and also displayed some of Registered's finest work. It is always a tremendous draw for CPAC attendees.
Many kudos go out to our magnificent friends at Free Dominion who are spreading the conservative word up north by organizing their own CPAC.
More kudos go out to Libertina and Firebrand for holding down the FR fort by managing the booth! You guys were fabulous!
I think we have a larger and larger contingent of Freepers at CPAC. One of the best parts of the attending the conference is meeting freepers I "see" on line for the first time. (After I apologized for flaming them, we always hit it off!) I encourage everyone to try and make the trip next year.

"Not when there are photos." You mean like in #45?
Glad that you made it home safely. Thanks for being you.

"Excellent pictures. Some of them could get certain people in............oh shut me up already." We had a great time. Everything that happened at CPAC was supposed to stay at CPAC, but as Libertina pointed out, that doesn't really apply when there are photos.
I was hoping to see you there this year. I trust all is well.

-you are correct. You only asked how things were going regarding her dating the hockey player. And if she actually moved back home, which we all know you would never do. It was nice to meet you, hope all is going well with you.

More super photos, dio! Thanks for all that you do for our FRee Republic.
That said, the Sports Bar Staff has got to love us! After all, we are FReepers! And FReepers, by definition, are loveable! LOL!
They'll just have to get used to us -- after all, we attend (in ever-growing numbers) CPAC year in and year out, and, despite outrageous prices and lousy service, we hang out in the Sports Bar!
[In fairness, the cheddar cheese bacon burger is very, very tasty, and the FReedom FRies are the best I have ever eaten.]
All-in-all, we are stuck with one another, or so it would seem.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet more of you there. I think I met some FR folks last year too.
Pardon my ignorance but who won the Ronald Reagan award? I did not go to the banquet and I just plain forgot to ask someone the next day! I know they always give the award to a very deserving person though.
Overall I had a good time but once again I will urge ACU and the organizers to move the conference to a bigger hotel. I just found the big crowds to be a bit claustrophobic. Not to mention that with so many college kids around I felt out of place as an old guy in his mid 40s. ;-)

Next year, there will most likely be a three-fer: FR Inaugural Party/Ball, FR conference, and CPAC. Plans are in the works! Wow... what (and where) is the FR conference?

We are working out the details, coordinating with the ACU and inaugural events. As soon as we know, and it will be within the next month for sure, we will post all the information. Stay tuned!

The one in Lilac is Amanda... I think she'll be a freeper by the end of the week. Sharp, sharp young lady.
Glad to hear it! These sharp young people we always meet at conservative and/or FR events simply amaze me. So glad they're on OUR side.
Again, it was wonderful to meet you (however briefly) at CPAC. I'll definitely be lurking over at the Word for the Day threads. I can certainly stand to add to my vocabulary... you do a great job as Teacher! :-)

This year I realized the value of keeping that camera right in my little paw--all the better to snap those who passed by before they walked away. But it would be spectacular if we could have a good photographer do that. GOP Chick would have to pretty much stay put at the booth, though. ???
