"FOUR MORE WARS...!" Let's co-opt this anti-Bush slogan and use it to support the Bush war record
January 25, 2004 | Paul Klenk

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Recently I visited a rather lame anti-Bush site. It was selling T-shirts and caps with anti-Bush slogans.

One of the slogans actually made me laugh. It reads:

FOUR MORE WARS!

I fully support the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Furthermore, I would, on general principle, support more wars in the Middle East. We need to depose as many dictators and Saudi princes as we can. The world would be a better, safer place. I know the left hates this idea, but it's time they grew up and dealt with life.

The entire free world should rise up and declare war on all dictators, and we should free any populations who are not yet free.

I'm proud of GWB's war record, and look forward to four more years of Bush, especially if that means...

...FOUR MORE WARS!

Do you agree?

I just have to ask--why did your cousin, the liberal, choose to join the Marines? This is really strange to me, I just can't imagine what would motivate a liberal to become a military man.

Comparing Saddam to Hitler rather nullifies a claim to reasoned commentary on American foreign policy.

Your ahistorical world view is good for the gubmint that you served but really inspires zero confidence, but hey, that is why the state is trying to disarm the population so they can paint themselves as the soul defenders of the Reich even as they let the barbarians in through the front gate.

Try reading a history book about Munich and the start of WWII, BTW. It's not clear to me you have any idea who the Axis and Allies were at any given point.

I don't think that conveyed exactly what I wanted it to say. Someone smarter can make it work though.

Why not make your own shirt (at the mall or with a silkscreening kit or even markers)? Don't fund a leftist agenda.

I don't see a problem with the slogan per se but I am puzzled (not really) as to why the leftists never wore such shirts from 1993-2000.

Even the leftist "peace movement" crowd generally supports the Palestinian war against Israel (and does little to speak out against terrorist/"resistance" attacks on civilians).

If you must "buy" a shirt, you may look for Protest Warrior's site which has shirts with slogans like "War has never solved anything except ending slavery, genocide, fascism, communism..." (don't know that his had the genocide bit in there but it's true).

Me? Just a guy who believes in defending his own and his famly, town, city, county, and country in that order. And my Country better have a darn good reason for me to pony up my life voluntarily to make me die for it.

The greatest and most devastating single attack on American soil in our nation's history isn't a good enough reason for you? Just what would it take exactly?

Not a bad idea.

And, just how would you say that in Spanish, so we don't leave anyone out, and try to appeal to millions of new voters from Latin America who cannot speak English, are illegal, and will trend to vote for Big Government Democrats??
