The perks of Clark's new assignment didn't end at the gates of the sprawling compound. He also received a personal jet at a private airfield in nearby Chievres, two helicopters, two armored Mercedes sedans and a staff of 100, not counting the help at the chateau.

In this recent thread (Clark Ran Afoul of His Bosses While NATO Commander Because He Was Less Than Forthcoming), it demonstrated that Clark was willing to reach above his superiors at every turn.  I still think of those Apache helicopters that where sent to Albania for which there was always an excuse as to why they did not enter combat.

Good article, and glad someone posted a link to that other article--so we can have a lot of info at our fingertips. The man is laughable as a candidate, but downright frightening in a position of power, as in NATO and the presidency.

This was accomplished without the loss of a single American life.

Hey, flashbacks of Hillary saying no one died in Haiti right after the roadblock murder. Perhaps they should say no hostile US fatalities. Also KFOR soldiers from the UK, Sweden, Germany, Russia and UN "police" have been killed.

Two U.S. soldiers killed in Kosovo

Democrats really do need to break their stereotype as whimps.

Hearing Clark explain his orders to send 17 pieces of armor and 15 active service personnel to Waco, and how they assisted in the deaths of 82 men, women and children (including two babies who died after being "fire aborted" from the dying bodies of their pregnant mothers) should help.

Clark can also talk about:

- his meteoric rise through the ranks after Waco;
- conducting wars without congressional authorization or UN sanction, as in Kosovo;
- targeting civilian infrastructure in Serbia versus surgical shock and awe in Iraq;
- refugees and collateral damage in Croatia and Serbia versus Iraqi refugees and casualties;
- the International Criminal Tribunal against Milosevic and the 12 year cease fire with Saddam;
- comparisons of the Racak massacre with Iraq's mass graves;
- his support of the Al Qaeda connected Kosovo Liberation Army leaders and terrorist attacks against the US during the 90s culminating in 9/11;
- whether British General Sir Mike Jackson really refused his order, saying: “I’m not going to start the Third World War for you!”;
- his meteoric fall from the ranks after Kosovo.

Been to his campaign website. What do you know? He thinks a civilian service corps should be voluntary but---if there's a crisis, civilian service should become mandatory. Service being the highest calling, nobody should mind.
