LEXINGTON (Jan 8) -- The following is a statement from Ben Chandler concerning his endorsement of General Wesley Clark for president. Yesterday, while campaigning in New Hampshire, General Clark telephoned Ben Chandler to seek his support.
"I am very proud to endorse General Wesley Clark for president," said Ben Chandler. "While we are blessed with a diverse and capable group of Democratic candidates, there is no doubt that General Clark best represents the values and culture of southern states, like Kentucky. His courageous service as a 4-star general, his independent streak, and intellect make him my candidate of choice as we move America forward through these difficult times."
I am proud to support a candidate who is a champion to veterans and soldiers, has a plan to lower taxes for the middle-class, and the vision to create new jobs for Kentucky and the country. His offer to assist my campaign for Congress is greatly appreciated and I look forward to a close working relationship in the future."

Hey, we are not crazed liars down here....Clark ONLY reprsents the "values" of those committed to mental institutions in the south.

In a nut shell. Ben Chandler ran against Fletcher in the race for governor last year and lost. He is now running for Fletcher's old seat in the US House. Important as it would give the democrats a seat in the house.
Chandler is the grandson of "Happy" Chandler, one of the most corrupt governors Kentucky has had and that is saying a bunch.

Weasley the GUN GRABBER
Clark wary of concealed guns
11:21 PM 1/19/04
Scott Milfred State government reporter
Though he owns a lot of guns, loves to hunt and spent 38 years in the military, Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark is generally opposed to letting citizens carry concealed handguns.
"I don't feel right about concealed weapons," Clark told the Wisconsin State Journal during a brief telephone call from New Hampshire on Friday, where he was campaigning for that state's Jan. 27 primary.
"It's OK if you're a detective on the police force," Clark continued. "But I don't see a requirement for ordinary citizens to carry concealed weapons."
There is info on the other gun grabbers stance on CCW in this article. Be sure to SHARE a copy with you gun owning friends, take a copy to your local shooting range.

Southern states? I don't think so. United States - nope. I thought the guy was a little light in the loafers from day one. Whatever - but not as Commander in Chief? Absolutely not. He's another bottom run Rhodes scholar from Arkansas. Maybe Arkansas gets Rhodes scholarships at a discount or something.

Who is Ben Chandler? What makes him an authority on "southern values" or the values of any other section of the country?
I've heard a lot of generalities from Democratic candidates about their plans to help the middle class, but no specifics.
If General Clark's supporters exist out there, please detail for me how the general plans to help anyone, espcially the middle class.

As I posted earlier, columnist Bob Novak has predicted that Ben Chandler, grandson of the "conservative" A.B. "Happy" Chandler, will win the special House election in KY in February. Novak says it's all about name ID. Voters just go for the more familiar name in many cases.

"I like to hunt. I have grown up with guns all my life, but people who like assault weapons should join the United States Army, we have them." Wesley Clark Sorry, Weasley. I'm 46 years old with one kidney - don't much think the Army will let me play with them anymore. But I still like "assault weapons", both real and perceived.

So is Ben Chandler speaking of South Central? Or South Milwaukee. Sounds like another carpetbagger like whatssis
name the attorney from Yankee Carolina.
