[history]
What poor talk-radio host Charles Goyette just doesn't get is that conservative radio is mostly for ignorant White trash males. Even Lauri Cantillo admits this in her response to Goyette on the KFYI Web site.

Oh yes...I've seen this guy's letters before...here's the other one I remember:
Robbed on insurance rates
Sept. 12, 2003
This debate about illegals getting a driver's license, ridiculous by itself, seems to always leave out the insurance question.
I meet all the criteria for the best rates available, and I'm still getting robbed on rates.
So Mr. and Mrs. Illegal working for minimum slave wages from some greedy White-owned company are going to be able to afford insurance?
They can barely afford the junked cars they are driving now as witnessed by all the broken down cars on the freeways and streets (am I wrong?) so what makes anyone think they will use what little money they have for insurance?
But guess who will make up the difference?
You know who: the legitimate citizen ratepayer with higher premiums once the insurance companies find yet another excuse to raise rates.
Mandatory insurance is a failure anyway; do away with it and let the companies have to work for business. Don't guarantee it.

Feel that hate Troy. Let it coarse through your body. Feels good doesn't it?
Idiot.

Troy Huskey, Glendale And this goof is who, exactly?
And I should care that he writes about subjects that he knows nothing of, because?

What an idiot, those who listen to talk radio are people who are paying attention to issues rather then watching football.
To: Delphinium
They got the demographics all wrong! Talk radio listeners are most probably 30+ years of age in a moderate to higher income bracket with careers. The repugnant proves once again what a biased, leftist rag it is. The tribune is a better source for news print.

We have alot of those kind of newspapers in this country. Even in conservative states like Idaho.

What's ol' Troy got against cheap beer?
Wait, I'll bet he much prefers a nice glass of chablis... with his quiche!

This is the reason I don't read the AZ Republic any more.
And I don't listen to Goyette's Bush hate agitprop either.

Charles was at it again, last night, prompted by Ken Pollard's criticisms of the Iraq war. Very tiresome.
Charles will have a tough time convincing 70% of Arizonans (and 85% of his audience) that Saddam is a good guy who presented no danger to the US, and that they - his audience- are stooges. Death Wish.

I remember Charles Goyette saying that Saddam was no worse a threat that Stalin or Mussolini. That should bring comfort, shouldn't it? </sarcasm>
To: chiller
They moved Charles to his timespot because he is a bore.
The New Times gave him the "best of" award for local radio broadcast, because of his stand as an alleged anti-war conservative. What a dubious distinction, he's in good company what with their Dan Savage syndicated column.

"They moved Charles to his timespot because he is a bore. "
Compare Goyette's career track to that of John Dayl. His move is a not-so-subtle way of saying, "Your conract will NOT be renewed."
And rightly so. I quit listening to him and turned to Hugh Hewitt.

Hey Troy, please define "White Trash" for me. I listen to talk radio, and I vote every chance I get. I have a GREAT family, I'm 50, retired from the army, I have a degree in Computer Science, and I drive a 4x4 pickup to my cabin at the lake; I own two homes, and I don't drink cheap beer unless someone else is buying (never pass up a free cold one). I've looked forward to jury duty since the first time I watched '10 Angry Men', which I'm sure would bore you to tears. Does this make me white trash?
To: azsportsterman
apparently, Conservative=white trash.
Hey if that is so, call me Mr. Trash.
To: jmcclain19
I feel I'm in good company.
To: azsportsterman
Ditto.

What the hell's wrong with cheap beer? You can swig it down fast on a thirsty day without feeling guilty that you didn't pause to see what it tastes like.
