[history]
Governors from across Mexico pledged on Thursday to closely follow the progress of U.S. President George W. Bush's immigration proposal and to develop plans to address the program's impact south of the border.
Bush's immigration proposal would allow migrants with U.S. jobs to work north of the border for at least three years. Although it still has to gain congressional approval, it has generated intense interest among Mexican President Vicente Fox and other politicians whose regions rely on money sent home by migrants.

TRANSLATION: Drug lords, corrupt polititians, and money launderers from across Mexico and all of South America met in Mexico City to closely monitor the opposition to the illegal migrant invasion on the United States.

In a 25th anniversary ceremony at the College of Michoacan (a central Mexican state that sends a lot of migrants to the US), Vicente Fox claimed that he had "agreed" with Bush when they met last week on a considerable annual increase in the number of temporary worker visas, that would include doubling and even tripling the current amount, and claimed that with the Bush proposal, between four and five million illegal alien Mexicans currently in the US would be legalized. This story appeared in "El Siglo de Torreon"
here and is naturally in Spanish.
That's the trouble with wanting to know the facts behind all the closed doors meeting between Mexican satraps and the representatives supposedly accountable to us American citizens: you have to consult the Spanish language media to know what's going on. And when you read stuff like the article I just linked, you realize with horror that our politicians are trying to satisfy a Mexican political agenda and making commitments to Mexican politicians while we citizens are totally out of the loop!

Some Mexican-American activists are upset, however, that the plan would not give any preference in permanent residence or citizenship matters to illegal aliens already living in the country.Equal treatment under the law requires the deportation of all illegal aliens.

Its nice to see a convention of the next 21 new member states of the USA...I hope they're preparing to deal with John Ashcroft and the DOJ Federales regarding their internal affairs, help us open IRS offices, and of course police THEIR border states....:)

I've spent my life wondering what horrible things the Democrats were going to do to America next. What a dolt I have been. America is being systematically destroyed by a Republican president. And I marched for him and voted for him, shame on me. His betrayal of America with his open border policy is mind boggling.
Sure, he has done a great job fighting terrorism. But who is he saving America for? Non-citizens, President Fox and business leaders who want slave labor and will overthrow America to get it.

"And when you read stuff like the article I just linked, you realize with horror that our politicians are trying to satisfy a Mexican political agenda and making commitments to Mexican politicians while we citizens are totally out of the loop!" HINT: The immigration reform proposal George Bush presented to the American people on January 7th was already in print in Mexico City newspaer twelve hours before the American people even knew what Bush was going to say.
What is wrong with this picture?

So in other words every gov't. agency and it's head bureaucrats are breaking federal law for aiding, abetting and assisting illegal aliens to stay in this country? Wouldn't they already be thrown out of office or prosecuted if they had broken almost any other federal law?

I gave his campaign money, voted for him, took others to vote for him, etc. in 2000, too. Now those are us that dare express our dismay over this amnesty atrocity are being told by hacks here that we are "fringe extremists" that "never supported Bush anyway."
George Bush saved America from Usama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, just so he could hand it over to Vicente Fox. I'm supposed to be happy over that?

What is wrong with this picture? Apparently politicians elected by and answerable to the citizens of the United States believe they have a constituency outside of the US: the ruling class and peons of Mexico. Is there some sort of "understanding" between these two sets of racketeers about just how all these new "temporary"/permanent, alien/resident, non-citizen/ privileged migrants are going to vote once they get to the US? (And they going to vote---those here are voting already, citizenship or no).
Remember the stink all the "grassroots conservatives" in the GOP were raising over Clinton's sneak naturalization of about 1 million aliens in 1996 just so they could vote for him? How is this damnable amnesty proposal not many, many times worse????
