Bottom Lines From Sen. Lott?
Sen. Trent Lott, whose impolitic remarks at Strom Thurmond's 100th-birthday celebration cost him his leadership role, may still be suffering from foot-in-mouth disease.
In the Washingtonian's February issue, National Editor Kim Eisler -- whom Lott rejected last year as a possible co-author of his memoirs -- quotes the Mississippi Republican as referring to former Carter administration official and journalist Hodding Carter III as "Hodding the Turd" and calling Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) "butt ugly." (Lott was referring, Eisler reports, to the way Clinton looked in 1974, but he "allowed as how she looks better now.")
Holding to senatorial decorum, Clinton would not comment yesterday. But Carter was enthusiastic. "That's my boy," he said of Lott, laughing and recalling that their mutual "animus" dated to the days when Carter owned a newspaper in Greenville, Miss. "I ran editorials saying then what he is now: a racist piece of dreck."
Lott spokeswoman Susan Irby said: "These are inaccurate ramblings of a disgruntled writer who didn't get his book contract.''

(Lott was referring, Eisler reports, to the way Clinton looked in 1974, but he "allowed as how she looks better now.")Way to go, jellyfish. Hillary is, without a doubt, the most graceless person to disgrace politics. She deserves all the scorn she receives.

Amen. I don't have a problem with him calling a spade a spade. It was the rigidity of his spine that always bothered me.

There's such thing as "foot in mouth" disease, and then there's just cold, bleak reality. I present exhibit A:

Yeah, Trent Lott may be many things, but he's obviously not blind.
Proof positive that Billy Jeff was a drug user. How else do you explain the coke/pot/beer goggles.

Or possibly that once US taxpayers could fund her every whim, she went for some free cosmetic surgery.
Just like the free swimming pool she received for her house in Chappaqua. She raised a big ruckus and got her way.
But I would like to see the day when the junior Senator of NY shows courtesy and civility to any Republican. That may be when hell freezes over or when she's caught with the White House silverware and china.

Again I think Lott is correct. But he's a girley-man.
To: Callahan
Truth is an affirmative defense against libel. Lott's covered.
