this was a rumor that swept through the London markets as an excuse for why the Treasury Secretary is doing a presser with Saudi officials. Rumor made no sense in the first place (why would Snow rather than Bush or Rummy do that and why would the Saudis be there?), but it was moving markets, so needed to be confirmed or denied. It was denied.

Great opportunity for some pools!! It should be pretty easy to predict what some of the neocommunist dems will say. For the next several months it will be, "What took so long; if [crapweasel dem] had been in charge, we would have had him long ago." As we get closer to the election, of course, any capture will be met with, "They could have had him long ago but were saving his capture to influence the election." Porr Tommie the Commie will be so "distressed."
