Just caught the following from a Mark Steyn article posted
here.
[EXCERPT FROM STEYN'S ARTICLE] But it seems that, given a choice between Bush and Bush-hatred, many Democrats are looking for something a little more nuanced, if only because nuanced incoherence is more politically viable than going for the Michael Moore vote. Clark chose to crawl way out on a limb after Dean. In Iowa, that branch got sawn off. From a European point of view, the BBC and the Guardian can fantasise about Bush losing to a fully paid-up Chomsky/Moore conspirazoid, but the Dems seem to have decided to give Planet Earth one last try. [END EXCERPT]
Now if only some of the more rabid Bush haters on FR would learn the same lesson.

Clearly my litmus test correctly identifies President Bush as someone who will sign legislation to ban abortion. Been there, done that...failed every time. Time for a bolder approach. I was disappointed when I heard Ashcroft say at his confirmation hearing that he would enforce whatever laws were on the books. That's very nice-sounding, but what do you do when the laws on the books are in direct contravention to the right to life and God's eternal laws? Care to tackle that one?

"Harmful tripe? If we live in a time when people here believe that our "security" is more important than our freedom, our Constitution, and our country...then I suppose liberalism has won over all of us."
You are so totally free to leave and find another forum to trash President Bush. I don't think you ought to be able to do it here.

You can't lay waste to the collective thoughts of the Bush supporters implying mental illness because that would be impossible.
I'm dead serious. I think many of the bashers on FR are seriously disturbed, for the reasons I listed. It's their behavior which has convinced me of this. And I included the link to the Amer. Psychiatric Association for anyone to check out Paranoid Personality Disorder themselves.

So, enjoy the democrats - your party. So, enjoy the centrists - your party. I hear they're a bit*h on the pocketbook though.

You know, this isn't even worth the time to demolish.
But you managed to spend some words on it....... LOL..
Now I'll ask you again: What are you going to do if they don't want the recess appointments? So far you've not answered that but ranted on about what you want.... and not what the nominees want? You want to stomp your feet some to?
I don't care what you believe.... I didn't see it so I can't say it's true or not... I've seen it posted several places around the forum.
I'd be surprised if any other the others would have taken a part time appointment and give up their permanent positions.... All except Pickering who is 67 or so years old.

And the owner values free speech, a value you obviously don't hold.
I'm sure he does and I'm sure I do. But note that we don't allow anyone to post anything here. Posts are often pulled that trash Bush, conservatives, Republicans, etc.

blah-blah-blah, blah-blah-blah, ... Thus I hope that you will now consider and ultimately change your freepname to something more in line with your words, actions, and beliefs.
Despite many attempts to hit Abuse on me, the management isn't bothered by it.
FR is still more of a free-speech site than some of you apparently want. JimRob remembers the First Amendment and what this board has always stood for. It's one of FR's most enduring and endearing qualities. Besides, it is useful in a way that I think you don't perceive.
Haven't we had this conversation before?

You know, we have a running joke here in Alabama that the guy screaming loudly for our militia to go blow up some federal building is *ALWAYS* a cop or an ex-con on the payroll.
To which, we always reply: you first, and you alone.
So you go try "something bolder."
Call me when you get 50 people who will show up at a regular meeting. Write me when you elect your first candidate.
In the meantime, decades and decades will have passed...

As you said, he will clearly also sign legislation abridging free speech, as the CFR does. He is not conservative, a conservative conserves the Constitution. He clearly will not do that. He clearly is not upholding his oath of office. I call for his impeachment.

This place is turning into a rubber room.
Kinda fun to watch them bounce off the walls with all their rants.......
What do you think they'll be doing in a couple of months when the President kicks off his campaign and begins to spend some of that $100+ million on ads, campaign appearances, endorsements begin to come in and be announced, media begins to cover him, etc. etc. etc....
Right now all the attention is focused on one Party, the democrats and their Primary..... And the President is still holding his on without even campaigning... May need a couple of rubber rooms.....
