Coke fizzes, but no evidence of World War camera pics
The allure of the Interweb
FOR THE LAST three days, spinners at Evidence in Camera have been spinning how wonderful its digitised pictures from the Second World War are.
The BBC and the British broadsheets all carried news of the breakthrough on Saturday morning, saying you'd be able to even spot a SPAM can in Dresden in 1945 from 17,000 feet.
So the first thing we did Saturday morning was check out the site which gave us a web site not found message. Just like it's still doing.
One story did say it was launching Monday, so we thought we'd give it the benefit of the doubt, but by now the Brits are brainwashing themselves by watching soap operas.
Even though the war pic site hasn't made it to the Interweb yet, looks like the Coke spinners who said the music site in the UK would launch Monday have more of a clue. It's up now. µ

They appear to be hosting the site on a 386 SX with a dial up 14.4 connection.

Bump.
They've got a message that they're redesigning the site. (Still no pix available).
We apologise for the inconvenience, but the site is currently busy. Please try again later.
