They definetely need to come out and be in our face more. I mean if they don't flaunt it in my face I'm likely to ignore them.

Deb Price is a news editor for the Detroit Times and in 1992 became the first open lesbian to write editorials for a major newspaper. She now writes the first nationally syndicated column on gay rights. The daughter of an Episcopal priest, spirituality and gayness is a special concern to her, and she also focuses on legislative action and community building. The accessibility of her column makes hers the most read gay voice by a straight audience on these issues. In 1996 she published And Say Hi to Joyce, a collection of her columns with commentary by her wife, Joyce Murdoch. After fifteen years of partnership they were among the first couples to seek civil union in Vermont. The two most recently co-authored Courting Justice: Gay Men and Lesbians v. The Supreme Court.

Being a queer is a choice. An abomination and disgusting but nevertheless a choice.

Come out as gay or gay friendly. If youre closeted, give yourself a gift youll never forget this Valentines Day. Take the first life-changing steps of coming out if only to me. I know how scary and awkward it feels. Trust me, it gets easier.
OMG, this is so gay. Why do faggies always have to announce to everyone that they are gay. I don't go around telling everyone I'm a heterosexual.

Every year MCC unites some 6,000 gay couples My BS meter is off the screen. They do 16.4 gay marriages a day? Plus how many strait marriages? Vegas chappels can't even do that.

A quick query from a non-expert on this situation.
Presumably the individual states have legal agreements to honour marriage licences issued in other states. If Massachusetts issues marriage licences to gay couples, does this mean that the other states have to honour them unless they pass legislation explicitly not recognising them?

I am in a relationship with a beautiful and loving partner. My significant other and I can frequently be seen together at social events and cultural events around town. Because of the stares and unheard whispers of those around us, I feel it is necessary to shout it out ... "we are together, and you must all acknowledge our togetherness!"
My partner and I have gone from being almost completely closeted to being out as a couple to waiters, neighbors, car salesmen, subway riders, co-workers, politicians and most everybody else we encounter. People need to know! It is essential that we tell everyone. We are together. We have sex. We hold hands. We shower together. I think I may put up a web site that has photos of all the things we do together because, dammit all, you people HAVE to not just acknowledge our togetherness, you have to CELEBRATE IT!!!
And we are going to be in your face with it until you respond to our satisfaction! There are millions like us, and we are sick of hiding our love and affection in our own closet, bathroom, laundry room, bedroom, garage, and kitchen, and even once in the attic. We are OUT and PROUD! And we will not stop shouting it from the rooftops until you alter every single thread that holds society together and shift the focus on US. Me and my partner are the central focus of energy in the universe. You are all our audience! Get used to it.
I don't care if we have to completely destroy any semblance of societal decorum and custom! I don't want you just minding your own business as if me and my love life are no concern of yours. Nothing else matters but me and my partner and having our lifestyle be the central focus of YOUR life. It is not enough for my partner and I to just share our love with each other. It must be shared with you! And you MUST acknowledge it! Or else you are a narrow-minded, bigoted, hater!

Gays should come out on Valentine's DayAnd visit Disney on Father's Day, apparently.

They hijack father's day at disney and now they want to hijack valentine's day.
Those who are public want those "in" to committ professional suicide. Everyone is cannon fodder to their social cause.

weddings that in the words of the Rev. Troy Perry are recognized by God ... but not by the civil authorities. This is great news, great news indeed. Can I come with my dog?
Shalom.

A host of groups, including the 43,000-member Metropolitan Community Church, will be holding rallies calling for full marriage rights for U.S. gay couples. (Every year MCC unites some 6,000 gay couples weddings that in the words of the Rev. Troy Perry are recognized by God ... but not by the civil authorities.) Right, that's the church run by homosexuals for homosexuals. That's the "church" that hosts homosexual sex classes, up and including fisting, sado-masochism, and the use of electricity while having "sex".
