January 21, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - President Bush told Americans in an election-year State of the Union Address last night that they face a stark choice - finish the terror war or retreat under the "dangerous illusion" that we're safe. "We have not come all this way - through tragedy and trial and war - only to falter and leave our work unfinished," Bush said in the nationally televised address.

Democrats often remained seated - and some even hooted when the president pushed tax cuts. They should have been escorted out.

"As he spoke, Sen. Edward Kennedy, a Massachusetts Democrat, could be seen shaking his head in disagreement."I thought that was a sign of Parkinson's Disease, or maybe another nervous disorder. Like where is my Chivas Regal fix?

"Had we failed to act, the dictator's weapons of mass destruction programs would continue to this day," Bush said. As he spoke, Sen. Edward Kennedy, a Massachusetts Democrat, could be seen shaking his head in disagreement.
This is the so-called "journalistic" mission -- to provide 'balanced' news.
Reject journalism and return to reporting.
Write on report about Bush's speech with the details.
If Kennedy has a contrary view, then write another report about that with all the details.
I'm perfectly capable of balancing those views (and others) all my myself.
