I noticed the dems sitting on their hands during that line.

To me, the message from the President to the American people tonight was:
"I will protect you from the terrorists...the wimps and foreign ass-kissers on the other side won't!"
The President's message to terrorist states: "Look out. If you don't give freedom and liberty to your people and if you threaten America by harboring terrorists or supporting them, you are toast."
I LOVE THIS PRESIDENT!

I guess that shows how indebted they are to the America-hating Deaniacs who have taken over the party. Normal Americans believe America should do whatever it must, the world be damned, to defend itself.

The only problem is that Dean is already under water. Well, a torpedo is good against submarines too. It helps to ensure that they won't ever come up again.

"I agree, except that I think it was aimed at the Dems in general. In fact, it was also aimed at the world in general, and I thought it was a great line!"And you can bet the people he aimed it at got the message.

Did anybody notice how the dems were in a "damned if they do and damned if they don't" conundrum when it came to the applause lines... they looked bad to the Nation if they didn't clap, and they looked bad to the elitist leftists here and abroad if they did... what delicious irony...
To: Kevin Curry
It was his best line of the evening. I'll second that. It even got a hearty "OoohRah!" out of the lovely Mrs. B.S. Roberts.

"Well, a torpedo is good against submarines too. It helps to ensure that they won't ever come up again."The irony here is that Dean torpedoed himself.

I don't think I've ever seen a SOTU address where the President ridiculed his opponents positions. It was a very effective tactic. I loved how it was all he could do sometimes to suppress an out right $#!#eating grin.

I'm torn between this line being my favorite, and the line with THE LOOK when the dems started clapping about the patriot act being up this year. He flat smacked them right down.

>> Reuters said that Bush "reiterated"
Iterate = repeat. Reiterate = repeat, repeat. Some people have a way with words, and others, well, um, ah, not have a way. Reuters, still doesn't know the definition of "terrorist."

Here's a B-52 dropping a whole load of permission slips on Afghanistan:
