I think she butchered it. It sure didn't sound right the way the "quoted" it.

I need to get ahold of a transcript of this thing..but I KNOW that quote, as do most Americans, and she fractured it.....
"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country".
Maybe she just decided to embellish a bit? If so, that's beyond tacky. That would be like someone saying..."Speak softly, and carry a big (fill in the blank)".....
