This nation was founded "under God" and a Christian God at that.

Marriage can only be between a man and a woman.

It is impossible for 2 homos to access the privileges of a traditionally Christian marriage.

If they want to "get married" they can do so but they cannot take advantage of benefits that accrue.

My argument is that no one should get benefits because they walk down the aisle with someone else, no matter homo or hetero.

Why should I be denied tax breaks, etc, because I choose to remain a single male with no children (and not creating any out of wedlock children)?

Marriage is much older than Christianity.
It was well established at the time(s) the Old Testament books were written.
Don't play into the anti-marriage gang's hand by presenting marriage as a strictly Christian institution.

ALL cultures, all around the world, recognize marriage as a sacred union between man and woman. Even those that allow multiple marriages distinguish between a wife and a concubine. Interesting, isn't it -- marriage is perhaps the most universal institution we know of. In fact, it seemed totally unremarkable and undebatable -- until the last year or so.

"They" seem to be succeeding in their campaign to remake the human being. THAT is what we are really fighting here...
