Here is a quarter, go call someone who gives a rats arse how you sum up this SUTU speech. Your condescending remarks around here tonight can be summed up as something Howard Dean would be proud of.

I hired somebody for a new position last year. I offered the job to the candidate that was overwhelmingly the best qualified and most talented. It wasn't until I was putting together the offer letter that I found out he was an H1B. So out of all the American engineers who are out of work right now ... you couldn't find one as qualified as the H1B ... SURE

Pelosi looks almost human, but not quite.

About a second before that frame was captured, she looked like she was sucking a lemon!

He's trying to get some more of the Hispanic vote.
Of course it won't work because no matter what Bush offers the Democrats will always be able to offer more.
I think Bush is just doing what he believes - in this case he's wrong but there you have it.

Would it surprise you that china, Mexico and just about every country is complaining about losing Manufacturing jobs? I can tell you why, when this is over, I will gladly explain it to you. It is actually rather simple.

Channel surfing:
George Stephanopolis: "Ameraica was strong and confident. he was strong and confident. This was a real blueprint to the President's re=election."
NBC no joke has John Kerry tearing the speech apart, while the President exits. Brokaw is interviewing him. No joke.
"Trying to portray the image of Commander in Chief, I'm the man who should be leading the country for the next 4 years".. so said a CBS reporter.
"Joe Klein on CNN says this was going after democrats ..talking as if they were just a bunch of lawyers. ""A remarkably combative speech"
Wolf Blitzer interviewing Ted Kennedy...I missed it....thankfully!
Oh how cozy....Nancy and Tom sitting in front of a fire. I think I'll listen.

It's Botox Nancy and Puff Daschle. Blink, Nancy, Blink!

Excellent speech.
He hit just the right tone, pushing the ideal of American force and freedom as a universal force for good, with the efficiency of allowing faith based programs in the US so as not to discriminate against the faithful, with the correctness of keeping lower taxes as a means to grow the economy.
It didn't have the gravity of the post 9/11 speech, or the UN speech prior to the Iraq war, but it didn'T have to be. It was perfectly fine nonetheless.
That said, all the Bush naysayers really get on my nerves.
