[history]
April 28, 1971, 4:33 p.m. President Richard M. Nixon takes a call from his counsel, Charles Colson.
"This fellow Kerry that they had on last week," Colson tells the president, referring to a television appearance by John F. Kerry, a leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War.

Pox on 'em both.
Nixon for pulling out of Vietnam. AND ignoring the silent majority.
Kerry for disreprect for the uniform.
They both turned their backs on the public.

RE: they [the "news"paper] can't just let Nixon rest in peace
Nor could they resist attacking U.S. forces. IMO.
So the newspaper's employee feeeeeeeeels U.S. forces could have been shooting babies out of the arms of their mothers? Did he hear the conversations or make up the emotions he described? Why bring up My Lai?
"He [Kerry] was a Navy lieutenant, j.g., on a gunboat, and he used to run his gunboat up and shoot at, shoot babies out of women's arms," Haldeman said. (A member of Kerry's crew had shot and killed a Vietnamese child in an episode that occurred in a "free-fire zone," according to Kerry, but it is not clear whether Haldeman knew about the matter or was being jocular.)
"Oh, stop that," Nixon said. "People in the Navy don't do things [like that.]" With apparent sarcasm, Nixon turned to Kissinger, who assured him a naval officer would not shoot babies out of women's arms. But there was a seriousness to the statement as well; just three weeks earlier, a jury had convicted Lieutenant William Calley of killing 22 civilians in what became known as the My Lai massacre. Just days earlier, Nixon had ordered Calley released pending his appeal. The case had been more fuel for the antiwar movement.
Apparently the newspaper's employee feeeeeeeeels that since it happened once it's probably true elsewhere. Then Kerry was there and he is just as guilty as Calley. That's make him the war criminal. IMO.

Nixon = Kerry = Fonda
All 3 quit the war.
All 3 had hidden agendas.
All 3 were traitors.

What?? I thought he was a war hero??? I guess they just forgot to mention the protesting and demonstrating part of his "Did I mention I'm a Vietnam Veteran?" record.

Mo1, that special discharge granted to all awarded Purple Hearts and the like? I wonder. To be honest .. I don't really know the answer to that question.
I do know that my father rec'd a few medals in WWII, but he never rec'd an early discharge

President Bush is cleaning up & prosecuting the corporate scandals from Enron, Adelphia, WorldCom, Global Crossing etc. President Clinton ignored or was ignorant of, or flat out allowed the shennagans by these companies and the fraud was allowed to flourish. It was McAuliffe's 18 million dollar profit from Global Crossing that bought the Clintons Chappaqua house........seems odd he wouldn't have asked him how? At least Kerry is consistant

Kerry had a campaign poster in the Iowa State Memorial Union (student center) that had a young Kerry looking at Nixon on TV and the text said something like, "He was the protestor the administration feared most."
This stuff is directly from the Kerry campaign.

WOW!!! .. Thanks for that link
.
The communist Daily World delightedly published photos of him speaking to demonstrators and boasted that the marchers displayed a banner depicting a portrait of Communist Party leader Angela Davis, on record stating, I am dedicated to the overthrow of your system of government and your society, the New American recalled in May 2003.
By frequently participating in VVAWs demonstrations, Kerry found himself marching alongside what the Boston Herald Traveler identified as revolutionary Communists. While noting that known Reds had openly organized these events, the December 12, 1971 Herald Traveler reported the presence of an abundance of Vietcong flags, clenched fists raised in the air, and placards plainly bearing legends in support of China, Cuba, the USSR, North Korea and the Hanoi government."

Kerry and Nixon, buddies to the end.
BOTH had hidden agendas.
BOTH sold out their country.

Damm 'em both!
Nixon for letting 1/2 the troops die on his watch.
While he entertained relations with Commie China.
Kerry for not doing anything for the war.
Damm them both!
