"Iowa knows and likes Dick Gephardt, but I think they are looking for a fresh face and new energy,"

Is that the way you would describe Joh Kerry's face? "Fresh"?

Watching his speech, for a few brief seconds, I almost felt sorry for him. Then I slapped myself back to reality. His speech did show some class. At least Missouri is rid of him for the most part. Like Gore he will hang around on the sidelines looking for attention.

I'm...bemused seems as good a word as any...over the media attention to a caucus involving less than 3000 voters, which is being treated as earth-shaking in its significance.

I guess the media can barely contain themselves as they prepare to tell us which Democrat to vote for.

. . . many of them from 21 international unions that had endorsed his populist bid.

It just occurred to me that organized labor may have been the biggest loser of them all in Iowa.

You can't blame labor....NO, it was his embracing the gay lifestyle, same for Dean, whose numbers went down as soon as he brought the DYKE'S FOR DEAN on board.

....funny thing though, not one of news media mentioned this!!!!!!!!!!

Mr Gephardt was unlucky in life's lottery.
Everyone on Fox was very kind and gracious to him. They all
respect him a lot.

He stepped aside as House Democratic leader last year ....

Notice this paper didn't mention he was forced aside because of his poor leadership.

Folks, I mean really! Did you really think that the man who lost the House of Representatives to Newt Gingrich in 1994 and four times after that was going to be a serious candidate for President? Did you really think that big labor has the pull over its membership? The leadership of the AFL-CIO is living in the thirties. I guess they will never realize that times change! The dwindling number of industrial unionized folks should be proof that something is dractically wrong in labor. Even the left-wing, socialist public service, teacher unions have no pull. Howard Dean was destroyed! These Democrats are living in the past! Times have changed, our country is in great peril, and these idiots don't have a clue!

"Iowa knows and likes Dick Gephardt, but I think they are looking for a fresh face and new energy," said Stu Rothenberg of the nonpartisan Rothenberg Political Report.

So then, in Mr Rothenberg's mind, Iowa voted for a fresh face and new energy by picking Kerry??? Kerry? A fresh face???? and new energy????? Hahahaha

Dick Gephardt is and has been a weasel in the 'House' for well over 25 years. (For gosh sake, go get a real job!)I will not let it go unnoticed that this partisan hack backed the "Earned Legalization and Family Unification Act of 2002, which would allow undocumented immigrants who have been in the United States for five years and worked for two years to legalize their status..." among other things. Go away Dick, we don't need anymore speeches from you standing at the Council on Foreign Relations, espousing your views to the world. I watched it on C-Span, he was beyond pompous and was vividly imitating Hillary Rodhams holier-than-thou attitude.

Gephardt, 62, a

All this time I thought he was old. Maybe it's the lack of eyebrows and lips that makes that impression.
