What a long way from 1961 and JFK saying "ask not what your country can do for you"...pitiful.

An excellent contrast drawn and quartered. I have watched some of these focus group guys on the tube and the gimmee mentality amomngst those in focus is enough to make one puke.

Well, then I guess the ladies single-handedly coasted JFK and Clinton smooth in to the WH.

My own grandma is enamored with Edwards - at 82!

The Breck Girl will not live down the Breck girl image ib the south

They really do not need to win the south. They just need to win what they won the last time and pick up a couple of more state in the Midwest. Edwards also forces them to putout more energy in then south. They may get NH too this time. It is a closer horse race that we might like to think.

Okay, I admit it. I haven't read all of the posts on this thread, so I don't know if this side-topic is interesting or has been discussed.

I watched Kerry on CNN with his victory speech. His wife was considerably underwhelmed with his eloquence. When Kerry tried to hug her she stiff armed him. Eventually they moved the daughters front and center and moved her back.

Is this a passing tiff, or is Kerry a Kennedy-type chaser or something?

Remember back pretty far in this
War, when the attacks & terrorism,
post-war, were getting bad? Kerry
said that what is needed is regime
change in America. Mo, there's bad
stuff from Kerry to use that many
seem to forget. Now we got Saddam
but Kerry's saying keep Saddam in
power but throw Bush out!

Lest we forget...

Check out Mo1's photo of him on the Kennedy bird-watching barge trip. Kinda explains everything.

I was taking in what all that happened tonight and was looking for the punchline. It will come to light when we all see the price tag for the whole enchilada. I seriously think all candidates who ran there spent a higher amount of dollars than they wanted or needed. Probably broke all records by a high percentage. This will hurt them in later states.

Dean had Mass and NC on his list? LOL.

Yep. I don't remember the order, but after NH and the Feb 2 states, he reeled them off: "We will win in Missouri, Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, North Carolina, Arkansas ...."

I actually think tonight will help Bush in the long run.
Maybe I am looking through rose-colored glasses, but this could be good.

By the way, anyone catch Lehane (from Clark's campaign) intimate that Kerry has some lobbyist and income tax files problems. It is going to get really ugly in NH.

I suspect the Clintons won't allow anybody besides Clark or Hillary to win the nomination. Even if Bush fumbles, the Clintons are bound and determined to not lose the DNC and the limelight.

If Kerry wins the nom and becomes President-- Hillary will never be President. Lehane doesn't look prepared to let that happen.

"Talk to the people you know, get their take"

Unfortunately, the people I know, could either care less about politics, or, are flaming liberals, who think GWB is a cross between the Antichrist and Hitler anyway. (I live in a blue state, I'm surrounded).

I'm with you, I think Dean was feeding his soldiers red meat. They were eating it up. I noticed afterward, Chris Mathews was highly critical of Dean's performance, everyone on his show was, but Mathews' first reactions are always wrong.

LOL. Right -- Matthews has the same shoot from the lip problem Dean has. And let me tell you, I was listening to Dean's speech, and watching and listening to the crowd reaction, and he had them in the palm of his hand. I was thinking to myself, "This guy is not going to roll over and play dead, and Kerry better watch out next week in NH." Then Matthews and his bunch came on and they were all dissing Dean -- my jaw almost hit the floor, because I completely disagreed with them on this. This was a partisan speech to a partisan crowd, not an attempt to reach out to the undecideds.

Not Kerry or Dean, who gave up government financing, they can spend whatever they want. Clearly Kerry will see some checks written this week, and I can't believe the Deanie-weenies are going to give up this quickly. I'd bet Howie raises more money this week than any week since he's started running. Every time the other Rats attacked him, he's been able to parlay it into donations on his website.

Then it's your duty to try to educate them. Lord knows our schools are trying their hardest to stop any sort of conservatism. That's it in a nutshell. We as conservatives must re-educate everyone we come in contact with, in an effective manner.

I did! I've never seen that goon before, but he really creeped me out. He's even spookier than Clark himself with that light behind him. Saw a few other of Clark's "men" tonight, if he has half a brain, he'll keep them away from TV interviews, and just stick to radio.

They just have that Night of the Living Dead look in their eyes.
