Maybe so - maybe the WRs are holding Mcnabb back.
He still has not shown any "Greatness", maybe potential, but no greatness. He is overrated and over-hyped.

We can't know if they're holding him back or not, but I do know that with crappy receivers like that Marino wouldn't have put up great numbers. For a QB to have great number somebody actually has to catch the ball. Great receivers can make good QBs great (as Terry Bradshaw knows), bad receivers can make great QBs look mediocre (comparing the Cardinal stats for Plummer to the Bronco stats could be evidence of that, we'll need another season to know for sure).
As for him being overrated and overhyped, hey it's the NFL. During any given season there's at least three players and one coach getting more credit than they deserve, and they usually have counterparts getting more blame than they deserve. Such is life.
