Hallelujah, JRD is no Trent Lott! He is, instead, a man of strong faith and sound reasoning, an eminently praise-worthy, though seldom championed hero.

I can not believe that his comments, though slanderously reported as racist, will hurt his film career. In fact, it would be more logical that the comments of his detractors will be seen among truly dynamic film-makers, such as PJ, for what they really are: opportunistic hate-mongering.

The best way, in my opinion, to do that is to refuse to react to the term "racist." Our responses should be along the lines of "sorry you feel that way" or "so?" Or just ignoring it altogether.

I go one step futher. If they wish to change the meaning of words, then I am racist and proud.

We fundamentally agree. I'm just of the opinion that any culture that needs outsiders to motivate them to preserve their own culture is not a society worth preserving.
