I'm thinking we might actually have a decent Super Bowl game coming up. I couldn't call it right now.

I was thinking the same thing. The teams actually seem a bit similiar in skill level, particularly the great secondary that they both have. I think the Pats offense is a bit stronger, though, and they have the experience which will help keep them from getting rattled in the Big Game. Panthers haven't been there before - how well they do partially depends on them not freaking out.

If I were to call it I'd say Pats by a touchdown. But I'm usually wrong  .

HDTV shots for the Super Bowl or not?

It's a pricey ($$) consideration that I'm still weighing....

I'm leaning towards not getting the card I need at this time in light of the fact that I just bought you know what.

That's not the point the dude should've at least tried to go out there in the middle of the field and showed some courage! Even if it was just for a few seconds! The team and fans were really depending on him.

P.S. The Houston Stadium has a retractable roof. It will be pristine conditions in the Fatstrodome.

Ambrose... I'm impressed.

Do you bet on horses? Maybe you should start.

I'd ask about the 2004 Election, but Bush will destroy whoever the Dem candidate is.

We need a 'Top Ten List' of sports commentators' excuses for Donovan McNabb!

I've got one:

Collinsworth: "I think these receivers are shook up!"

Not a fan of either team (good game though), but I would have cheered for any team to beat the Eagles.

WAY TO GO PANTHERS!

Good luck in the Super Bowl.

Psst, what I'm waiting for, is for someone to pine for "what might have been, if McNabb hadn't gotten hurt."

Collinsworth: "These receivers just aren't good enough to adjust to McNabb's throws that land 3 yards in front of them. These receivers have really let the brilliant Donovan McNabb down."

"Collinsworth must REALLY hate Rush Limbaugh."

Collingsworth was a mediocre receiver and he is worse at commenting on NFL games.

I wonder if any other NFL team with home field advantage throughout the playoffs has has been this bad. What an embarassment for Philly fans.

New England brings in hefty ratings. CBS would be crying in their beers if Indy had won though.

HDTV. Thanks for being the Guinea pig. Tell us when you get a new set from the warranty - that's my cue.

Donovan McNabb, the world's greatest quarterback so heinously attacked by Rush Limbaugh, but defended vigorously and without question by the PC police and the NFL media, failed to get the Eagles to the Super Bowl for the third straight year today.

McNabb tossed three interceptions, but the picks were blamed upon the receiver corps of Philadelphia, thus holding Donovan blameless.

Nevertheless, the NFL Media will hold a day of mourning on January 19, 2004, to mark this horrible horrible day in sports history. McNabb completed less than half his passes for only 100 yards and gave up 3 interceptions.

"But he's still the greatest," said Joe Buck and Chris Berman in unison after the game.

Yep, Mel's got it all...sex appeal, looks, maturity, talent, and integrity. I'm just trying to think of a female celebrity with all of those qualities.

Men need a female Mel Gibson to look (lust) up to..LOL.
