Would-be Kucinich first lady gets engaged...

One date with Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich may have been enough to convince Gina Marie Santore she didn't want to be out there any more. The 34-year-old aide to the Camden County Sheriff is now engaged to Robert Miller, a 39-year-old chef from Philadelphia. Santore was the winner of a national "Who Wants To Be A First Lady" contest sponsored by PoliticsNH.com after Kucinich, the only bachelor in the field of presidential candidates, said at a forum: "As a bachelor, I get a chance to fantasize about my first lady. And you know maybe Fox will want to sponsor it as a national contest or something." On December 11, Santore flew to Manchester, New Hampshire for a date with Kucinich -- and a horde of local and national media. "If I had known it would only take an hour with a congressman (to finally get engaged), I would've called Rob Andrews to request a meeting," said Santore, who worked on Andrews' congressional staff ten years ago.

When Santore had her date with Kucinich, it was reported that she was already living with another man. A perfect example of Democratic family values.

Good for her!

I figured after her 'date' with The Menace she'd be scared out of a hetero lifestyle completely.

I think it's nice that she's decided to marry a fellow human after all. Cross species relationships are so difficult.

No one will ever elect a bachelor President. Dennis The Menace is a joke and his ex-girlfriend knew it and got hitched to the right guy for a change. We Freepers wish her every happiness!

Hey!!! My mom works at Wal-Mart! Of course, she's smart enough to stay clear of fools like Kucinich, but if ever there was a date one would meet at the front door with a 12 guage, he would be it! LOL!

Hey!!! My mom works at Wal-Mart!

Sorry, I'm sure she's a nice and decent person (well, I hope so). It's just that, generally speaking, it's probably not the first place a young guy (like Kucinich, who I think may still be a teenager) would go to pick up chicks.

I gotta ask, with all the bad stories about employee pay and treatment at wm - how does your mom like working there?

Dennis just has that effect on people- that is to make them so appreciative of the person they're with.
