But, he's no Conservative at all and just the same as Clinton ( or worse, dependi8ng upon who's posting )and voting for some fringe candidate or someone who isn't even running and handing it all over to the Dems, IS what a RFEAF CONSERVATIVE must do, to stay true to his/her " principles ", after all.....yada, yada, yada (/sarcasm )

And it's something I have been telling her for quite some time now. *sigh*
To: nopardons
No I've got it now. They are conservative they just want this country to go down the tubes. Thats probably exactly what a Russian conservative would want or a Chinese conservative would want -- for the United States to falter. That post from 2000 shows the thinking exactly. "Maybe if this country sucks SO bad people will think like I do."

Don't look at me, that post was from the Admin Moderator. I think he meant the one about impotence and the real thing. I don't have any problem answering personal attacks. I look to GW as my role model for that.

Ah, you haven't visited to Pickering threads yet. They turned into Bush bashing rather quickly. What doesn't?
These people are the perpetually pissed off.
They aren't for Bush; never have been; never will be. They have no candidate; they just bitch.
They're no better than any liberal you meet on the street.
And they are here to divide us.

To answer your questions, I did not take away a job from anyone in the country that I am working in. And it is a job that none of its citizens could do -- or would be able to do. I also went legally on a short-term work visa. And I am in a third-world country that does a far better job of controlling its borders with far fewer resources than the US has at its disposal.
My international perspective has given me a much more dire outlook on illegal immigration. Bush is making a GRAVE mistake on this issue and I have no qualms speaking out about it. I do feel like a "lone voice in the wilderness," though, because I am amazed at the naivete of those Republicans who support Bush's illegal immigration plan without reservation and are willing to condone such a gross miscarriage of justice.

I thought you might be a man's man --- now I know you are. BTW, that is a GOOD thing to be. Too few are, although 9/11 brought out a whole lot of 'em.

No, I'm saying that your going to give a vote to the Rats if you withhold it from a good, if not perfect, President Bush. You'll be hoist on your own petard. You know, cutting off your nose, to spite your face. Now do you see where I'm coming from?

You may have to add third and fourth (and a half) parts to the question. (3) If you don't want a Democrat elected, who is your choice of candidate outside the Republican or Democrat parties? (4) Where the heck IS your candidate and (4 1/2) what are his or her current poll numbers?

I have to take exception with you on that. I can live with liberals...I may not agree with them but I always know where they are coming from. They don't pretend and they will do everything they can to stab you...in the front.
Look at buchanan in the last election. He said that he would only use the Reform Party's money to campaign in states where it wouldn't hurt Governor Bush's efforts...then turned around and actively campaigned in the too close to call states, running against Bush, not Gore.
Do you see these people here campaigning against Dean? Do you see them campaigning against Clark?
I'll take an honest liberal any day.

Yes, there was an awful lot of that garbage, in '00 postings. If so and so ( their particular flavor of Conservative, couldn't be elected ) then boy oh boy, wouldn't it just be GRFEAT, for the WORST possible Dem to win ? It truly boggles the mind.
Then, there were the crazy posts about how the populace would all rise up and fight a bloody battle ( yeah, right ) and water the tree of liberty, codswallop.
These folks are NOT Conservatives and don't have a shred of self preservation in them.
To: CWOJackson
It is time to stop this nightly fights.
To put it quite simply: we have an election to win; they don't.

"I am amazed at the naivete of those Republicans who support Bush's illegal immigration plan without reservation"Bush's new immigration plan *registers* illegals. You try rounding up our 8 million anonymous illegal alien fugitives without registering them first, and compare that forceful effort to what the NAZI's had to do to round up a mere 6 million Jews in Europe during WW2. It would be no small or easy task.
No thanks. I'd rather see those illegals get registered, and the beauty of Bush's plan is that he provides an incentive such that the illegals will *volunteer* to be registered in the first place.
Give it twenty years and the talk radio hosts will finally begin to grasp the sheer genious of Bush's plan. Until then, expect them to whine unintelligently about said plan as if registering illegals was a bad thing...
