Well if I am from the Left wing of the Democratic party then so was the Founders. They were very concerned about the "common good." It was how things were to be determined, not special interest groups. Perhaps you need to read the Constitution sometime.

No, I just happen to like the Truth and wherever it goes. I see you are back on the RNC Shillers payroll. So does moveon.org. Now go whine with them.

"...is his second attempt at amnesty for illegals..."
Amnesty is not what's being offered. It's a limited form of documentation for those who are already working here. There's a reason they have jobs, it's because Americans don't want them. I think he's wrong to even grant limited documentation, but I don't have a better answer. Neither do you.
"...Then let's talk about Education, caving to Europe and the UN and constant undermining of American workers..."
Yeah, let's do that. Education is a major plank of his platform. Got a problem with a president who follows through with his campaign promises? Personally, I wish he would abolish the Dept. of Education, but I can't always get my way. Neither can you. And what are you talking about, caving to Europe? You are a hopeless case if that's what you think happened here. Caving to the U.N.? Put that crack pipe down, dude. And now he's undermining the American worker. Looks to me like you're just looking for an excuse to slap him around. My advice is not to vote for anyone. Nobody could possibly measure up to your standards.

Might I add that the poll was up AT THE SAME MOMENT BUSH gave his speech. The hysteria on this place was intoxicating -- even I voted NO and I support Bush's right to speak and suggest proposals to Congress. :)
Do you make all of your decisions based on feelings? To us, it's principle, well above mere feelings.

The immigration issue may well "settle it" in 2004. Are you crossing your fingers? Maybe Bush will learn a lesson then?
Really what I wonder is if all the Bush bashers here are going to wake up in January 2005 after Dean or Clark or god-forbid Hillary is sworn in and realize that that moment of infinitesimal glee probably ain't gonna last you through all four years of their term.

To us, it's principle, well above mere feelings. More drama queen hysterics. You do know that one man's "principles" are another man's bull headed stupidity don't you?
To: MissouriForBush
"This is more than just a 'single issue' we're talking about. Bush's horrible is pure madness and pandering -- pure and simple. This is a national security issue, not a side issue."For some reason, citing President Bush's illegal immigration plan as "madness and pandering" is shouted down and discounted as mere demogoguery -- regardless of the serious negative ramifications. Then there is the deflection and changing the subject. Isn't this the SAME technique Lanny Davis and Paul Begala used for years for defending the indefensible?
Those who are affected by blind loyalty -- in BOTH Parties -- are almost impossible to reason with.

They aren't bright enough, to be distraught by their impotence, they delusionally imagine that they wield great power. LOL
Noooooooooooo, they are hysterically ( not meaning " funny ", but as in an hysteric )distraught because everyone isn't agreeing with them 100%, but instead, refuting them and calling into light, their naivete.

"...The glaring absence of GWB's securing our borders will then cause his defeat. And appropriately so..."
So, how many troops will it take to seal our borders, auntdot? Maybe all the troops we have? You would have us pull out of every country where we're currently fighting the terrorists on their own ground, and build a wall around fortress America. It wouldn't work, and would bankrupt the military budget. Yeah, Bush is so incompetent that we haven't had a single terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11, we've liberated two former terrorist nations, and gotten one to volunteer to surrender it's WMD. Go peddle your nonsense somewhere else.

That was me that posted that. You can pour all the salt on it you want, but it won't change it.
We've debated before. You even were kind enough to point out an inaccuracy in one of your own posts unprompted for which I complimented you, if you'll remember.
The conversation took place.
