i also think its because of the Iowa caucuses, another Rove mistake, they should be running early ads in key states all during the Dem primary season. unless the lies of the 9 dwarfs are refuted, people start to believe they are facts.

Tragic - if he had said nothing he would still be at 63% - but Nooooooooooooo... Boy genius had to go grovelling before the 3rd World welfare dependents.

Most likely. But if that is the case, I'd expect it to be even lower. He's almost 10 points below where his dad was at this stage.

It could be but the proposal has not been a big media topic. The big news has been on the "Bush lied" flurry of stories that may have gained a bit of traction. The last poll put out that mentioned illegal immigration had it about 6th in voter concerns. Who knows?

I think its based on the 1000 job lie. The misreporting of how the number was arrived at. Its been repeated so many times its become like one of those jingles you can't get out of your head.

Bush knows the issue is unpopular with the majority in the US, so why did he do this now? What was his motivation. Did he think with his popularity so high he could get away with it? Or is it that his Business/Globalist puppetmasters jerking his chain?

Had Bush not been the beneficiary of a short-lived rally in support following the capture of Hussein, this latest quarterly rating probably would have been the lowest of his presidency. From the start of Bush's 12th quarter in office on Oct. 20 until the Hussein capture, Bush averaged a 53.2% approval rating.

This has nothing to do with illegal immigration.

I hope he takes advantage of the state of the union show to correct a few of these Democrat/media inspired misconceptions about the war, the 16 words, etc, etc.

Survey Methods "These results are based on telephone interviews with randomly selected national samples of approximately 1,000 adults, aged 18 and older. For results based on these samples, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum error attributable to sampling and other random effects is ±3 percentage points. In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls."

Probably just wanted to pander to Hispanics for votes.

The Agri-Bussiness, actually don't want this to pass because if the illegals are legalized then they can't rely on cheap labor anymore.

Did any of you even bother to read the article? If not, you should. It appears some of you may be getting all excited about a "decline" for nothing.

Your glee is astounding.
