It could be but the proposal has not been a big media topic. The big news has been on the "Bush lied" flurry of stories that may have gained a bit of traction. The last poll put out that mentioned illegal immigration had it about 6th in voter concerns. Who knows?

From the start of Bush's 12th quarter in office on Oct. 20 until the Hussein capture, Bush averaged a 53.2% approval rating.

This has nothing to do with illegal immigration.
