Talk about throwing yourself to the wolves! LOL! The fringe folks are going to flame you but good! Me? I am going to quite happily pull the lever for President Bush and VP Cheney for another 4 years. It will be nice for President Bush to have a filibuster proof Senate next term. And, since he can't run for a third term, I think the second term will be rather interesting. Yep, I voted for Arnold too!

"...going over to the Democratic Underground ..."

//"...I wondered who would be the first to toss about that sophomoric line. Congratulations..."//

Well, why don't you try it, and see how far apart you are from them? I'd bet you're pretty close, and have a lot in common, hatred for Bush being one big one. I lurked there about 3 or 4 days ago, and their comments were practically indistinguishable from yours. The only bright spot was all the Clinton bashing that went on there. It seems a lot of people are going to vote for Kucinich, because the Clintons, who are pushing Weasley Clark, are too conservative. Thank God for universal ignorance!

Your naivete on the political landscape of this country is openly evident. Tancredo is a Bush supporter, in spite of his flare up with Rove. A vote for him is like voting for a rat. The rats are upset because his(Bush's) proposal's do not go far enough. (notice I said proposal's and not amnesty) I suppose you will think your message was sent, when next year about this time, you can watch a rat President, throw the blanket over the illegals with full blessing.

Think back...Thanksgiving dinner with the troops...YESSS!...captured Saddam...YESSS!...riding high, why not drop the big stink bomb now?

Yep we are with him all the way except when he dares go against "dogma" then he is a treasonous bastard that must be impeached. But we are his "base" and he owes us. Got’s to teach the boy a lesson just like we did his daddy and Bob Dole. What a miserable piece of work this “base” has turned out to be.

No, what Bush is trying to do is gloss over it. He isn't solving anything as far as the American public is concerned. He not only just increased their taxload to subsidize that cheap labor, but he's subjected us to higher crime, more dumbing down in schools, more invasion of our neighborhoods. And for what? So his business buddies don't have to pay American workers?

Thank you. I am terrified of the attitude I see here. God help us.

You weren't here in 99 and 00 then were you? No different than what was seen between the primary candidates back then, the run up to the general with the 3rd party types, Greens, Reformers, Libertarians, Constitution Party, etc.... None amounted to anything when it was all said and done.....

Remember, 91% of the republicans still support the President and that coupled with the democrat disenchantment, lack of a strong 3rd party and other wannabes makes it very tough for any other to win in Nov. They like to holler but that's about all it amounts to.....

"If you think his immigration plan takes away our sovereignty -- ugh -- can't finish."

What do YOU call rolling out the red carpet for illegal foreign invaders to stroll ACROSS OUR SOVEREIGN AMERICAN BORDER, then rewarding said illegal invaders with American citizenry?

Would you reward a stranger who walked into your living by then giving him the run of your house?

America is MY house. We have laws. Some of expect us the President to enforce those laws. He wasn't, isn't and won't. THAT "compromises" our sovereignty and right to enforce our own border.

Got it now, Sparky?

I also recall that Carter sponsored a limited amnesty program for thousands of Cubans and didn't get re-elected, while Reagan sponsored an open amnesty program for millions and did.

Your grasp of history is er, somewhat lacking.

I just talked to rank and file agents in the San Diego Sector who said illegal entries SOARED on the day Bush announced the proposal.

LOL That was predictable. Like I said before, they're gleefully running inside to pack their bags..there really is a Santa Claus! LOL

"Bush ran on this in the 2000 election; you just didn't notice or didn't pay enough attention.

Yes, and the first thing we did as a group in FR was Freep his immigration amnesty, and he dropped it like a hot potatoe. So now what is his excuse? Why does he think he can get away with it again?"

I'm a relative newcomer to FR (started lurking 2001/writing 2003) so I don't have a clear history of FR activism before the aforementioned time. If what you say is true, I am much more disappointed with GWB&co..

JM*useless*O, RINO/CINO freeper's comments about "conservatives" would easliy transpose on the name of one Ronald Reagan in 1976 and pre-convention 1980. Seems as if Bush did a Jeffords, the RINO/CINO freepers would be confused wondering why their shepherd left the flock. But who listens to me? I'm just a conservative constitutionalist. Seems on occasion that I'm below pond scum on the FR and with the POTUS/LOTUS/SCOTUS.

(sobbing like a girly-boy) I've got to go, my self-esteem is crushed!

"...LOL Congratulations! You're the second one to use that sophomoric line..."

Less laughing out loud, more introspection. I'll bet I won't be the last one to make that comparison. The fact that you laugh it off doesn't make it false.

You had a typo I would like to point out. I know its hard to keep up with the hate Bush lingo these days but you meant to say "his business cronies". He doesn't have buddies -- no body like Bush -- remember?

This is way beyond "cheap agri-labor". It's more about sendind a "signal" to the SOB's (South-of-the-Border) folks that our borders are open for all as long as the crosser is willing to vote for whoever let them in. Sadly, for the moronic Republicans, the illegal newcomers will still vote Democrat. The 'Pubs lose. The Republic loses. The communists win. Maybe the 2nd amendment will turn the tide in the end, but I doubt it.

First of all, Bush is by far the worst president the US has ever had. Next to his father, and of course Nixon and Reagan. We need another MAN just like Clinton in there so the country will be in good shape again. Sure, he had problems with his sexual affair. So do a lot of others in Washington. He just got caught. Besides, that should have been between him and his wife. After all, people did have JOBS then.We had a budget surplus that the Bush administration managed to squander. I, along with a lot of other people I know are without jobs right now and he wants to come up with some stupid idea of letting illegals work here? Come on, don't be as stupid as he is. If anything, we need to do more to keep them out so AMERICANS can have jobs. The best thing for America right now is to get Bush out of office before he digs us in deeper than he already has!!!

I do not intend to let you insult me. My ex's position is such that he looks at the LONG TERM EFFECTS of this proposal and the BENEFITS of it that are not known to all. The intelligence community will get a big boost.

Your rank and file agents are all well and good, but tell me, the illegal entries SOARED on the day he announced this plan?

Must be hard to get all packed up, carry your satellite dish on your back as you watch the speech and scurry across the border. Please. That is just a nonsense remark you made.

I suspect your rank and file friends have the same nasty attitude you have.

I don't care to discuss this with you any longer. I won't change your mind and you sure won't change mine.

Maybe we'll run into each other at Bush's inaugural ball next Jan.

The really fun part of all of this is IF the vocal critics get their way with the Republicans in Congress all we're going to end up with is another Congressional standoff...in other words, the status quo.
