I am very pleased that Mr. Bush is flat telling it like it is! The Dems can't match the sincerity and forthrightness of our President. Compare GWB to Howard Dean's statements of faith. IMHO, GWB is a class act as usual.

I saw video on FoxNewsChannel of GWB in a church filled mostly with blacks. They were looking a little skeptical of this man, but applauded him bigtime on Faith-Based Initiative-speak. He was talking about something - a handbook used by the federal government for training childcare providers or some such, and he held up a Bible and said "this is the handbook."

I've got to believe he is going to make a little headway with black voters this time around.

BTW...haven't been watching any news of late...boring Dem wash. So I'm guessing the Lib newsies won't show it , 'cause in their tawdry hearts they know GW will get a popularity spike...in spite of what they profess to believe about John Q's alleged discomfort with religion..

You're so right. W was talking about how he got the federal purse opened to faith-based groups. They were applauding the money, not his faith.

Contrast that with the wild cheers that would have resounded had Beezelbubba been there breaking commandments right in their midst from that instruction manual W held up. Billdo would lie like he always does about church burnings when he was growing up, and they'd applaud the lie. He'd bear false witness against Republicans by saying how they practice the politics of personal destruction and racial division, and the amens would come down from the rafters. And, of course, he'd be scanning for a hunka hunka burnin' love in the choir and they'd cackle and nudge each other when he would invite his target to sing next to him, arm draped over her shoulder.

I am willing to bet that most of NE flipped when they heard Dean on faith. We like that to stay as our own business. We do not like tent shows.

Do we really want a church run society? Look at the history of them and look around the world. Which church state would you say works? I like what our founders liked better.Please show me a church run country that works as good as any secular society that has freedom of religions?

My girlfriend has a video on her hard drive of then-Governor George Bush at a party.

He was lit up like an old Christmas tree, and did at least one shot of booze while on camera. And let me tell you, the man was the life of the party. Cracking jokes and talking trash - some might call it shameful, but it made me glad I voted for him.

Someone on the Dose forum tonight was there at the church as a campaign volunteer. She said they loved him there.
