Thoughtful Democrats are jumping ship cause a party that thrives on hatred isn't a party with much of a future. The Democrats today are Dr. No on everything. The GOP used to be the same way until recently and said No to everything. And it kept on losing election after election. Now the Democrats are in the position of telling Americans not to look forward to the future and its making them look like flannel tweed accountants and schoolmarms who take all the joy out of people's lives. Let me tell ya, Americans ain't gonna vote for a party full of people of pessimists who don't want the grass to be greener. Bush Democrats? They're welcome to join us in making America a better, healthier, and happier country.

Nah. I think the Democrat Party needs to put emphasis on publicizing Michael Moore-onics and Al Franken-isms to keep the Democrat constituency from leaving the plantation.

We can always hope and pray for a 49 to 1 Reagan style landslide, but I live out here in Patty Murray/Jim McDermott land. I work at a place where I hear otherwise intelligent people spout move0n.org hate for Bush on a daily Basis. If GWB wins Washington I'll be absolutely STUNNED, though incredibly pleased to have ammunition to use against the soicialists at work.

Remember the "Reagan Democrats?" Now we have the "Bush Democrats" ... The 'term' of the tide: Kevin McCullough offers
evidence for a Bush landslide in November
Excerpt:
Lifelong Democrats, especially after being exposed to the raw hatred of the MoveOn.org gathering and realizing that is indeed the future of the Democratic Party, called one after another to explain why they would be voting for President Bush in November of 2004. Of course, they were following the lead of prominent Democrats like Zell Miller of Georgia, who have come to recognize that the Democratic Party is leaving the people of values behind.
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest or Texas ping list!. . .don't be shy.

Articles like this make me a bit nervous.
Do not get complacent
We must work hard to make SURE President Bush is re-elected. I truly believe our lives depend on it.
To: JohnHuang2
I enjoy articles like this one, but they make me worry that the pubbies are taking too much for granted. I think this will be a close election, if for no other reasons than (a) traditional election fraud by the Democrat machines in Philadelphia, Chicago, St. Louis, etc., and (b) hate speech by the Al Sharptons and NAACPs of the country whipping up racial fear on the part of minorities.
We can't let up for one second.

"Given the options of a second term under the leadership of President Reagan or ousting him for the far-left options of Walter Mondale, the country rallied 49 states in favor of the president. Is the same thing developing in 2004?"
That was then, and this is now. If the witch rides in on her broom at the Dim-ocratic convention "to save the Party," then you've got a whole different ball game. Women will vote for Hitlery in droves just to have a female president, and women make up a little over half the population.

But as best-selling author Ann Coulter pointed out years ago, it is much easier for a hard-left liberal to call someone a "stupid mother f-----" than it is to actually debate the merits of actual policy that affects people's lives. More importantly, your average lib understands the words "stupid mother f-----". Any kind of actual debate of facts confuses them after about 14 seconds, and who wants to take that much time away from American Idol anyway?

Ninety-one percent of Republicans support the president Are the other nine percent really Pubbies?

It did seem to me that the speakers line-up was designed to appeal to undecideds, independants and "Reagan Democrats". Rudy and Arnold and Zell were each appealing to voters other than the base. Excellent 'strategery'IMHO.
