I just hope it gets warm enough to thaw the water lines to my sink and shower...I live in a mobile home and am quite leery of putting anything with a flame under it...

You have my sympathies, man.
We filled the oil tank last Friday, 1/9 @ $1.329 a gallon. Checked the tank this morning and made the call. 145 gallons @ $1.409! 145 gallons in one week with the thermostat set on 60 degrees!
But no, we had to have the Victorian ark...

Two questions...where did you find it for 1.329 a gallon last Friday (Lowest I could find was 1.369) and second, a Victorian Ark in Bangor? Where do you live, W. Broadway by Stephen King?

Davis Oil in Bangor.
LOL! Yeah, I live right around the corner from King, but further down the hill, about half way between King and Young's Variety.
We call it the Adams Family house. ;O)

My tenant owned a 70 Maverick, piece of $hit, it started no problem. I had to take my car to a garage and warm it up before it would start.LOL!
We had the same experience in the mid-70's in Massachusetts. Freezing cold Christmas, and my brother-in-law's ancient Chevy was the only car that would start.
He spent half the day driving around the city jump-starting everyone.

Our other choice is Kings Bay GA, the east coast home of the boomer subs. I've never been to Kings Bay. Winter has got to be better.
Last I was in Groton, getting an appt at the hospital was damn near impossible. If you've got kids that might be important for you to know.
Hubby says Kings Bay is newer, more amentities on base. Seems that it's in the middle of nowhere, so anything off base is a drive. Groton has shopping centers near the base, within just a minute or two. A mall is further away, across the bridge into New London. Maybe 15-20 minutes away.
Hope that info is helpful.
