Lovely...*L* My husband just recently re enlisted and Groton's one of two places we could possibly go for C class Sonar school...

We have friends who just returned from being stationed in Hawaii . The husband did a 267 day deployment. I CANNOT imagine it!

So what's the OTHER choice? LOL!

Planes below you is freaky. One year we did an overnight climb of Lincoln and Lafayette. Pease airbase was still open and we had the the chips scared out of us when those fighters whizzed by beneath us - each time they they whizzed below us. Major wtf.

Nice pic,

no did it the old fashioned way--with my legs, going down was hard on them.

-3º about 20 miles inland from Scituate and the wind sounds fierce. I can't remember the last time I wore my scarfs for warmth.

Fine, powdery snow fell across much of the region, with the mercury dipping into the single digits in some places, and 20 and 30 degrees below zero in others

Do they make thermometers that go that low?

We'll if it will make some of you folks perk up, today in Southern California it was pretty chilly too. Go down to 71 degrees with a pretty brisk 6 mph Pacific breeze.

I just hope it doesn't get any colder, if it does, I'm going to have to wash my jacket I wore last winter.

At -40 the celsius and fahrenheit scales meet. Either way it's cold. Anyone for Kelvin?
