The President had a very busy day today, leaving this morning for New Orleans, Louisiana, appearing first at a roundtable discussion on faith-based initiatives, then at Union Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church where he spoke to faith based and community leaders, and finally at a fundraising luncheon at the National D Day Museum.
He then traveled to Atlanta, Georgia where, accompanied by Coretta Scott King and King's daughter, Christine King Ferris, he placed a wreath on the tomb of Martin Luther King, Jr. on what would have been his 75th birthday, and this evening is at a fundraiser this evening with Democrat, Zell Miller, who will be campaigning for the Presidents reelection this year (Go, Zell!)
Enjoy this MUCH needed visit to Sanity Island as you revel in your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

Thank you for the yahoo link! Only
now can I see them. Before, they
were merely blank squares.

Did a Google search on her death but couldn't find out much about it. For some strange reason it has always been kept quiet, unlike her sons death. Do remember that it was a deranged black man who came down from Ohio and shot her and the deacon. Here's all that I could find on it....

Gretchen, I'll bet Ohio has those pictures saved somewhere to go with your "Cowboys" text. I know I've seen most of them here, on the Dose. Just thinking about all those pictures of our W in his white cowboy hat brings a smile to my face.
To: texasflower
Thanks a ton for posting the link to the Cowboys / Heroes site! It's a great one, isn't it?

Please see texasflower's link at 349 -- it's the same site as I saw, but it's still up! (A different author at a different URL.)

What a treat to have you repost the photos omegatoo took, as they are larger and much easier to see on FR, and my Internet connection stinks today, so photos are loading very slowly or not at all on other sites -- it surely seems to me he's moving around to take pressure off his knees.
Great photos.

I guess my bandwidth has reset, because they are up from the original site now, too. I don't think the traffic on this dose will be as heavy as the first night, so they should be OK from now on. I'm glad y'all enjoyed the pictures, I got all excited again posting them tonight. Some of those un-blurry ones are good. Those are MY pictures....I took those! WooHoo!

I did go to the site, it's great. I agree totally with the sentiment.

Thanks for reposting MamaB's post. I am so sad about this, as I know we all are. More prayers for MamaB and her family are being offered. I hope she knows how much we all care.

Yes, I love that Cowboy site. I play it all the time.
You may be right about W moving around alot because of his knees and I'm sad to think that he might be in pain. But he sure moves around and ends up posed in some very visually appealing ways!
They are great pictures omegatoo!

Very interesting, Gretchen . . . sounds like you enjoy studying the human mind, motives, etc. I have a minor in Behavioral Science and the stuff fascinates me (my in-laws give me PLENTY of time to practice! :-) ) Good thoughts on Dean.
