As a long time resident of Colorado, I can tell you he has done a pretty good job here. However, I don't think he is ruthless enough to beat Ms. Hilly-beast. Owens comes across as a nice, fairly normal guy who I've seen eating at the Chilis with his family before (apparently recently separated from his wife btw). I think Hilly would eat him alive not because of any superior skill or point, but just because she can be mean as hell.

Just food for thought...I'd like to see Condi Rice aggresively slam H.C and her husband into the dust bin of history.

I'll go with Owens, and Condi as Veep. Rice won't run for Prez in '08 and she shouldn't. Someone who has never been elected to office will not win the Presidency, except under the most unusual conditions (i.e. Eisenhower). The Presidency is, like it or not, a political position. She'd be a perfect Veep and would gain valuable campaigning experience. Other possibilities (Rudy is too far left on social issues and would be better as Senator or Governor from NY) include Bill Frist and (assuming he retires in '06 from the Senate), Jeb Bush.

He's a great pick, but has no national recognition. He'll need to hit the 'tv circuit or he isn't electable.
