[history]
A CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Tuesday interviewed 1,003 adult Americans last weekend on Bush and national issues ranging from the environment to security.
The poll indicated that Bush's favorable standing with most Americans on his personal qualities is a main reason for his job approval rating of 59 percent in the most recent CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll and similar high marks in other polls.

___________________SITUATION REPORT______________________
Twenty years ago a high school drop out could get a job in construction, trucking, or manufacturing, and still do pretty well for himself. Well enough to own a car and afford some type of housing, by the age of twenty.
One by one these jobs have been outsourced, or filled by a wage suppressing immigrant, lowering the expectation and living standard of many Americans. Such is not suppose to be the case. In raising the boat of third world nations we have sunk the boats of many average Americans. Meanwhile those that stick it out through college are finding their jobs outsourced and their options limited.
Why do you think so many people my age are enraged, we know what has happened, we know America is being stripmined, and youth who has never known anything else, raised in the fed propaganda camps, have no clue of how badly they have been robbed.
You are merely parroting the propaganda of the enemy like a good little public school student. There are not that many white collar jobs and in fact all jobs have been artificially manipulated out of the country, or by immigrants in country all due to deadly socialist government policies and freedom robbing Free Trade.

As a former teacher I can say we have learned a lot about the public finance of education since we got federal aid in 1965.
Most of the federal money has run to fat: to administration and to secondary services. The failure of schools to produce better results may be attributed in part to the collapse of the American family structure and a huge increase in immigration during the same period, but mainly because educators can't maintain a steady course about what should be taught in academic courses. This is true not only in ther social studies but even in math. Compare a 1965 algebra II textbook with one by the same publishers in 1975, 1985 and 1995, and even an English major can tell the difference. More than any other math course, Algebra II has historically served to separate the sheep from the goats. It is all too obvious that the school systems are increasingly opposed to any such "discrimination." and have passed their concerns on to the book publishers.

This article is a load of BS. As pointed out in post #2, the results are being manipulated with stupid little word tricks. Where are the numbers? What kind of poll article doesn't have the results listed?

Thanks for posting that. I did notice the usual CNN spin -- "Americans like Bush's qualities, poll says -- Yet Democrats said to have edge on many domestic issues", while down in the article we see that "The poll also showed that 55 percent of those interviewed agree with Bush on the issues that matter to them."
