I know the area well, my parents are/were from that area. I have relatives whose graves there were moved decades ago when the fort (we called it 'camp' then) was expanded.

BTW, Enterprise has the only statue in the world that honors an insect, the boll weevil.

I was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.....but the finest time of my family's "child raising years", was spent in Huntsville, AL..

My employer sent me there on a temporary assignment to work on the Apollo and Saturn Instrument Units (IU).
We loved the area so much, we pushed our 1yr assignment into 9 years.

My wife and children cried all the way to our next assignment - in California.
