Guns won't stop a planted bomb from exploding.

"And the terror alert level just went down..............."
I guess the airlines are still on "high alert"

No they don't. They just do.
This has to be either a prankster or some radical group.
I'd venture a prankster...closely following the lowering of the threat level, you can bank on it.

Only network talking about this is MSNBC. It's probably (hopefully) a hoax.

i don't understand the good it's going to do to turn around a flight with a bomb threat. i mean if it's gonna go off won't it go off anywhere? i'll just wait and see what happens and pray it's nothing serious. Probably which airport was closest. They're probably closer to Chicago. Also, if there is a bomb-threat, they probably have to expend a bunch of security on Chicago (O'Hare?) anyway -- no need to clog up PHX too.

Sure. I wonder what you would say if the captain came on "Ladies and gentlemen we welcome you aboard our flight today. We're ten minutes out of O'Hare and ground control has alerted us that a bomb might be on board. Our flight time will be three hours and ten minutes. Have a pleasant flight."

I'd guess a prank- doubt AQ would warn.

Yes, they are still searching all vehicles parking at Sky Harbor in Phoenix.

Interestingly enough...checked the Chicago area TV/Radio sites for 'breaking news' and found nothing about this.
To: Neets
Imagine if the green light for terrorists to go was the lowering of the alert level. Tinfoil off now.

Right! Of course they should turn around and try to land that plane and get the passengers off of it!
