This report was up on
this site two days ago. They also have a link to a military site where you can watch a secret video of Saddam being captured.

!Hola! Tex! Como esta??

Wow, that's great. Saddam's distress can be clearly seen. No much for all the Arab braggadocio about his being a martyr before the Americans.

Since you can't see the soldier's face, you can't have any idea if he was posing with his trophy.
He may have simply been pulling Saddam out of the whole and looked up when the photographer called his name.
Or he could have been posing. Who gives a f#*#?

I was just wondering................
Is that blood in his mouth where the soldier cold-cocked him after getting spit on by this clown? (....as mentioned previously)

The problem I have with the "deer hunter" photo is that it can be interpreted as a violation of the Geneva Convention. Public expoitation of a POW.

Mr Weisman said he had refused military requests to remove the photograph from the site. The officials had claimed it was a security risk.Interesting that the officials have not (as far as I know) made the same request of the NYTIMES publishing the pictures, and home towns, of military snipers!!

With lots of soldiers carrying digicams these days, its going to be harder to keep a lid on this stuff.
Some dingdong earlier today posted a link to FR with the *unedited* pics of Saddam, with soldiers faces clearly visible, some of which were clearly SF and OGA (other govt agencies).
I consider myself somewhat knowledgable about digital image manipulation, and these pics are clearly *not* manipulated.

Violation by whom? The military didn't authorize the photo's release, and may not have even shot the photo to begin with (perhaps shot by an individual serviceman).
Screw it. Humiliate the bastard and the other billion or so Moos. It's long past time to do so. Then, rinse and repeat.

You'd think Saddam would be pleased to do a little suffering for his Allah - maybe garner himself an extra virgin or two.

The capture remains "inconceivable" in my mind. Our guys are amazing.
I believe there were two others (at least) captured in this raid. Would like to hear what they are spewing considering that they took off and refused to martyr themselves for Saddam. They sure as hell to want to go back to the streets of Baghdad where I'm sure they would be taken out instantly by Saddam's gorrillas.
As far as posting the picture. I agree that the soldiers faces should be unrecognizable.
The photo may be inciteful to Saddam followers but it is the truth and the end of the reign of a mass murderer.
