KANO HUNTERS in Borno State have shot dead seven Islamic radicals who were fleeing a military crackdown on a group inspired by the Afghan Taliban militia.
On Tuesday, 13 members of the Muhajirun sect arrived in the village of Sandiya in the state, preaching and demanding transport after their vehicle broke down, villagers said. They shot dead the leader of a local group of hunters, triggering a bloody confrontation in which seven of the Islamic gang were shot dead. The remaining six fled into the bush. Police in the Borno State capital, Maiduguri, yesterday showed journalists seven bodies and 13 seized AK-47 assault rifles.
The Muhajirun are a radical group of Nigerian Muslim university graduates inspired by Afghanistans former Taliban regime. Their aim is to set up an Islamically pure state in northern Nigeria. They style themselves on the Taliban, and have recently raised their movements black flag in the Kanamma and Geidam areas of Yobe State.
Last week, Nigerian soldiers launched a crackdown on the Muslim radicals after two police officers were killed during three weeks of clashes between the group and security forces. Officials say 47 members of the Muhajirun have been arrested so far and five killed, including their leader.
But the group was thought to be 200-strong and the gang is thought to have broken up into small groups and dispersed through the arid savannah along Nigerias border with Niger. Seven of those arrested were attempting to cross the frontier, officials said.

Again, these people show their intelligence by provoking a confrontation with people who are armed.

I guess terrorists qualify as "dangerous game" ... Good shooting, gentlemen!
To: dead
To put it mildly, shooting perfect strangers is considered by every civilized nation a slight but unforgivable breach of etiquette, the kind of breach that can be frowned upon by local hunters...

If only some enterprising businessman would offer this new kind of African Safari to American hunters...

Pay those Nigerian hunters bounty and buy them more bullets. Let them mount their Jihadist remains and serve the entrails to swine.

You can probably buy a license from one of those Nigerian dudes that needs your bank account number to move several million dollars he just inherited ...

Wow! Who would have thought that a hunting rifle could be deadlier than an assualt rifle? On the other hand, that seems to me to be a pretty "sporting use" of a gun.
