NEW YORK (Reuters) - Comedienne and former talk-show host Rosie O'Donnell (news) on Thursday announced plans for what is billed as "the first gay cruise with family values."
During the cruise, which will depart New York for the Bahamas on July 11, gay and lesbian passengers will be able to learn about topics like adoption and artificial insemination.
O'Donnell, recently in the headlines over a bitter court battle with the publisher of the magazine named after her, said the first offering from R Family Vacations would be a weeklong cruise on the new Norwegian Dawn cruise liner.
"We welcome all families -- however you define them -- to join us on this cruise," O'Donnell said in a statement.
Among the unusual ways passengers can spend their time on the cruise ship will be attending discussion groups on adoption, artificial insemination, surrogacy, and other topics of particular interest to gay parents or gay parents to be.
O'Donnell founded the company with her partner Kelli O'Donnell and Gregg Kaminsky, formerly of gay travel agency Atlantis.

"Hi, I'm Julie, your cruise director. Those of you who have our optional Mazola Package, report with your rubber sheets to the Lido Deck. And don't forget our limbo contest starting at midnight."

This is one of my fantasies - just me, a cruise ship, and 1200 sturdy chicks with mullets.

Is she actually going to be on the boat or just swimming alongside? No, all 3000 passengers will float on on Rosie's fat ass.

"We welcome all families -- however you define them -- to join us on this cruise," O'Donnell said in a statement. Wonder what happens when a Nambla 'family' gets the cabin next to Rosie's?? Oh, that's right, the queen would screen passengers for her family's safety (remember her body guards gun?). Some hapless, unspecting gay 'family' will get the room next door.

That makes sense given that they finally built a ship big enough to hold her!

I hear Rosie is wearing her sexiest thong for the affair.

Yes, I did notice the actresses who appeared in "Where The Boys Aren't" look nothing like the women who attend WNBA games.

Perfect target for an al-Qaida attack ?On the surface, yes. But I think al qaida would leave this ship be as a 'punishment' on us and be more likely to try to go after a more innocent group, to get at our sense of loss.

Paging Mark Morford. I hear they will have "Turkey Basters 101" as a class. Imagine the pre-cruise chaos at Walmart as they cope with the run on turkey basters and vaseline. (Ick.)

"sturdy chicks with mullets"Great name for a band!
