I remember one time my grandfather and I were fishing near Corpus Christi. We stopped at a gas station where, on a whim, my grandfather purchased 3 lotto tickets. Prior to that he never played, noting that it really didn't make any sense since the chances of winning were slim at best. As it turned out, his $3.00 whim won him $5,000.00! We blew off the fishing trip and spent the money on beer and women. Just kidding. After that he never purchased another ticket, noting that it really didn't make any sense since the chances of him winning again were even lower than before.
