A Letter from Madonna
Clark'04 | Madonna

A Letter from Madonna
(As appeared on Madonna's web site.)

I've never done this before. But life is about taking risks is it not?

I know that people seem to pay attention to everything I do. Big or Small. Ridiculous or Sublime. So I am hoping they pay attention to this:

I am supporting General Wesley Clark for President.

Not only as a "celebrity" but as an American citizen and as a mother. I want my children to grow up with the same opportunities that I had - to know and understand what's going on in the world and to travel that world safely and with pride.

Now I'm asking you to join me.

I am writing to you because the future I wish for my children is at risk.

Our greatest risk is not terrorism and it's not Iraq or the "Axis of Evil." Our greatest risk is a lack of leadership, a lack of honesty and a complete lack of consciousness. Unfortunately our current government cannot see the big picture. They think too small. They suffer from the "what's in it for me?" syndrome. The simple truth is that the current administration has squandered incredible opportunities to bring the world together, to promote peace in regions that have only known war, to encourage health in places that are ravaged with disease, to make us more secure by living up to our principles at home and abroad. The simple truth is that the policies of our current administration do not reflect what is great about America.

Thankfully, there is now a candidate running for President who is committed to ensuring that our country lives up to its promise and its people. He is a decorated soldier and a respected diplomatic leader, who has already given 34 years to his country. He is smart and he is good. He has worked hard to get where he is and he is a national hero.

A perfect example of the American Dream.

I've never aligned myself with a presidential candidate during the primary season. But this time, the stakes are too high, we have too much to lose and there is so much work to be done.

I'm supporting General Wesley Clark in 2004 and have committed to do all that I can to help his campaign in the coming months. I ask you to visit his website today to learn about his candidacy, his vision for our nation and the many ways you can get involved.

I've looked at all the Democratic candidates. I respect them all for their dedication and patriotism. But I'm supporting Wes Clark because in him I see the qualifications, character and vision that we so desperately need.

We are a country with incredible promise. As Americans we enjoy opportunities like no other. Unfortunately we take these opportunities for granted. You may not agree with everything I say or do, but whether you're rich or poor, young or old, black or white, gay or straight, I know you share my concern and recognize the need for change.

Even if you've never been involved with politics before, please consider joining with me. If you can give, give generously. If you can volunteer time, get involved now. And if you can vote, this time... make sure you do.

Wesley Clark has asked for my support and now I'm asking for yours

Madonna

Jackie Stallone's dogs know who's going to win so I'll wait and talk to them.

Madonna... have you ever heard the phrase, "get a life"... One of its meanings is to be able to live life to its fullest despite who holds a political office. It also refers to the ability to think rationally... duh!!

Has astrology let you down? Sylvester Stallone's mom applies the concept of palm reading to a spot where the sun doesn't shine. She practices "rumpology."

A rumpologist like Jackie Stallone will tell fortunes based on a print of your butt. There's some logic in this. Can't you just look at some people's behinds and predict that they eat too much junk food and have let their gym membership lapse?

Ms. Stallone, a one-time trapeze artist, also claims to be the owner of psychic dogs, miniature Doberman pinschers who are sometimes dressed in tutus and dresses and are said to be very accurate in predicting Oscar winners.

The only question is why these pooches let Sly star in Get Carter, Judge Dredd and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. Those are bad dogs.

Rumpology

Isn't she frikken all but British now? Sorry, Lady M, but I don't take advice, especially political advice, from "Americans" who insist upon speaking with a faux limey accent.

LOL! It isn't even a good faux limey accent - especially for a purported actress. The Brits don't deserve her either. (I find it hard to refer to her as 'Lady' M, tho...)

to encourage health in places that are ravaged with disease, ... Is she talking about her own body in that statement?

Or perhaps the 'diseases' she knows she's helped spread or contracted herself. And encouraged others to spread and risk contracting through her 'messages' urging freedom through promiscuity, delivered through her 'music' and books.

This is perfect. Strangelove Clark picks up the painted whore vote.

Actually, this could be modestly substantial. Witness the new generation of Britney fans who adore both Brit and Madonna and want to emulate them and use MTV as a voting guide.

I like your strangelove - clark comparison.

"Wow. She really needs to get out more. Has she heard about Afghanistan? Has she heard of Charles Taylor? Has she heard of Libya? Has she heard of the earthquake in Bam? Has she heard about Bush's immigration work initiative, has she heard about No Child Left Behind, Prescription Drugs for Seniors?"

You mean has she heard about what leadership in a troubled world is supposed to be? No.....

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to discover that "Madonna" has never once voted.

Something still stinks and the stench gets worse every day.

I am sorry but NO ONE can be this stupid. Klintoon with the help of his follywood cronies have staged this marvelous production for all to see.

Dean cannot be president. And if he takes his 1.5 million registered socialists with him what does it mean? Nothing! The green party got more votes last election.

Clark cannot be president. He was fired by Klintoon for incompetence and being a war monger. "Think Secretary of Defense"

Kerry cannot be president. He dropped the "F" bomb in a national publication and no one likes him.

So who has the ability to take the RAT nomination? Shrillary is the only hope of the party at all levels. She is the best chance the RATS have. She is the only candidate that will be able to ensure the senate doesn't go veto proof Rep majority. She is also the only one that has the faintest chance of beating GW.

If we get 60 senate seats, the party is over for the RATS. Every RAT senator and congressman as well as the Judiciary knows this and are scared to death.

No, this is a sitcom designed by the Klintoons and Follywood to make the party out to look so bad that Hitlery will have to be recruited. And the candidates are all playing along for bit parts in the new administration.

Lieberman - Ambassador to Israel
Kerry - Secretary of State
Clark - Secretary of Defense
Dean - Secretary of the Interior
Mosley Braun - Education Tzar
Kucinich - Secretary of Commerce
Gephardt - VP
Sharpton - Minister for the Country

Or just pick your own titles that these bozos will take. Either way, we have heard nothing from McAuliffe, nothing from Bill and Gore and Bradley endorsed Dean.

This really smells.

Is she actually registered to vote this time around? Remember how she did the Rock the Vote ads, and then it turned out she wasn't actually registered to vote?

You should post a picture of her lesbian kiss with her quote as the caption, "A perfect example of the American Dream."
